  hello chumz on the board.

  nothing really to do with jwism but who prefers the american 'bourbon' type such as 'wild turkey', 'jim beam' etc or who prefers a fine single malt scotch such as 'glenfiddich' or 'glenmorangie'?

  i am not trying to stir up nationalism with this question but am just genuinely curious.. lfcv.

  Hi Gregor, I'm pouring one for you too. I used to love tequila and mezcal. The tequila has beaten me up from time to time resulting in something of a love/ hate relationship. Try Patron, Cazador, and El Tesoro.

  Another explanation is that Elhanan's kill was only credited to David to enhance his royal reputation. The "brother" was added in later by copyists to "fix" the contradiction with the prior folk hero account in 1 Samuel.

  You'll have to forgive me but I find David to be a manipulative, conniving scoundrel. He was a bad dude. It's amazing how often the org. refers to him a some shining example.

  I may be a wuss but I also have problems tolerating Jack Daniels.

  IMHO single malt scotch is where it's at. It obtains distinctive characteristics according to its region of origin. Some more grassy, some salty, some smoky, some slighty sweet, etc. They're all good in their own way. Some of my personal favorites:

  Glenmorangie

  Dalmore

  Dalwhinnie

  Glenfarclas

  Bowmore

  Macallan

  Glendronach

  Balvenie

  Enjoy in moderation, at room temperature, with just a splash of fresh water. Cheers!
