OMG! I never knew that was Jourles. Thanks Jourles. I used to read Quotes before I ever found JWD. I loved it because there was no commentary, it was just, well, you know..................quotes. My morbid fear of looking at anything "apostate" did not kick in while looking at quotes from our own literature. I guess many felt the same way and that's why the Society hated it so much.

I know it's probably gonna hit the fan pretty soon in my own case. But as has been said by others, I'll probably feel some relief.

one can only speculate.

dt 21:10-13 with the lord's approval, the israelites are allowed to take "beautiful women" from the enemy camp to be their captive wives.

I love how we never actually learn what teachings these people have a hard time accepting. Instead they just act like their problems are their own and not the organizations.

I've had this discussion with my aging father. Why don't they just come out with a point-by-point rebuttal of all the major apostate "lies and half-truths"? What are they so afraid of? If they really are lies and half-truths this should be painfully obvious to the r&f, thus bolstering faith that this is God's one and only organization and deepening the resolve to avoid apostate "propaganda".

I'm not concerned with loved ones because I've been extremely honest with them about my feelings, opinions, etc. I'm more curious about evidence of attempts made by HQs to discern the identity of posters for the purpose of gathering evidence for judicial proceedings.

Being the paranoid, inactive, with alot of family and "friends" still in the org. ex-Witness that I am, I sometimes wonder about this. I'm sure it's been discussed before but I don't recall reading on that topic here on JWD. I know that fear prevented me from posting while I was exiting as an elder. Is such a fear unfounded?
