How long can you go to the meetings and not get baptized?
Answer: Till Kingdom come?
Sometimes I kill myself.
usually, adults who attend meetings regularly and aren't baptized yet are encouraged to do so.
usually after 1 or 2 years a person who attends meetings regularly will get baptized.. i wonder what would happen if a person would go to meetings for years and not want to get baptized.
would the elders finally brand them as evil or start shunning them somehow?.

an ex-jehovahs witnesses planted a seed of doubt by stating that she felt to be a good .
witness an individual had to be a conformist.
Did Anything In Field Service Make You Question The Society?
Yes.
Trying to convince already happy, successful, and well-adjusted people that their lives would somehow improve by going to the KH 5 times a week, surrounded by unhappy, unsuccessful, maladjusted people.

I am reading a book all JW (and not only them) should read. why we believe what we believe by Andrew Newberg. So far a fascinating mind expander.
Thanks for the tip, jeanv.
just been reading former long-time brooklyn bethelite tom cabeen's very encouraging article entitled "where is the body of christ?".
(can be found at http://divinetruth.homestead.com/bodyofchrist.pdf) .
in his article, tom says: "when john received the revelation around the end of the first century, there were hundreds of thousands of christians, even by conservative estimates.
interestingly months ago when I showed my in laws that 800 odd thousand died in the 1st century they said ..."yes there were other sheep being picked back then as well as the heavenly class"....I told them to show me anywhere in the watchtower it says that...Im still waiting for them to get back to me
OMG! Ninja, that's insane even by Witness standards.

Let's suppose that the #'s were relatively modest till about 100 C.E. 20,000 is a very conservative estimate. Wouldn't a very large # of anointed Christians continue to be gathered in the decades and a century or two after the date marked as the start of the "great apostasy"?
Perhaps until the time of Constantine?
since everything they do is conditional to the watchtower, i'd say that they are more robotic than human.. take for example, "wanting to die rather than accept blood".
a human reaction would be to want to live, and ask for forgiveness if accepting blood is wrong.. another example is when they go door to door.
is it normal to offer a magazine to a person that needs clothes or something to eat rather than a magazine that says how nice it will be in the new system.
How about this theory?
Both groups co-exist in JWland.
The real robots will be there forever.
The humans programmed to behave in robotic fashion will "awaken" and eventually end up on JWD.

Hello jeanv,
it may often be harder to question one's beliefs rather than die for them.
Precisely. For that reason, my friend you are a hero.
' I'd rather have questions I can't answer, than answers I can't question.'
I don't know who came up with that, but I love it.
Carry on jeanv.

said to be the #2 cancer killer in the west pre-cancer growths start out very slowly takes years to evolve, but good news,as the colon/large bowel has an egress to facilitate exams and most cancers occur in the last end of the pipe the rectum so it's easy to detect.
almost a taboo topic,it seems anything goes with explicit talk of sexual matters but folks are squeamish when discussing bm (bowel movements) as a 28 year patient ravaged with a diseased bowel from the auto immune disease ulcerative colitis i have lost my bashfulness.
i have had countless colonoscopy .they can make you so relaxed with a little morphine that i once fell asleep.
Thanks for the post Danny. Good advice for all of us to follow.
Keep up the good work. You are an inspiration to all of us.
peace friend.

When I think of Jesus, right away I think of him as a very human and loving person.
He woldn't have matched very well with the Watchtower.
The first thing he'd do is rip the field-service report box of the wall!
Then he'd ask, with tears of both righteous indignation and sadness, "Whose idea was this? Do you not know me nor the One who sent me forth?"
how can the wts claim true christianity was reestablished with pastor russell when all his teachings have been proven to be all false?
and why have they changed their teachings on the memorial partakers and when the 144,000 were filled?.

How many bethelites does it take to change a lightbulb?
None.
New light is provided at regular intervals.
Serious question. In what year exactly was true Christianity restored? 1850,1851,1852,1853,1854,1855,1856,1857,1858,1859,1860,1861,1862,1863,1864,1865,1866,1867,1868,1869,1870,1871,1872,1873,1874,1875,1876,1977,1978,1979,1880,1881,1882,1883,1884,1885,1886,1887,1888,1889,1890,1891,1892,1893,1894,1895,1896,1897,1898, or 1899?

have chosen to live now instead of waiting for some future reward. That is courage. We are the heroes! ( Maybe that last part's a little bit much)Why? What are you living for?
OK, damn it! WE ARE THE HEROES!
