Sorry...I'd have to agree with sooner, that is is the CORRECT answer!! This thread was about those THAT DO LIKE ATV'S....You seem to have an obvious problem with reading as much as hearing, it seems!
It is the wrong answer. I was cross country skiing on my own property. The official snowmobile trail runs through our property, and we are responsible for keeping it clear when we go back there to cut wood, etc (you think they'd give us free permits for the season at least...) We also have our own trails going through our woods, that snowmobilers are not supposed to be on. The main trail is much wider and has signage all over it, there is no way you can get off of it unless you want to.
Anyway, I'm skiiing along on one of our trails, and I hear the snowmobile coming a kilometre away, but he doesn't see or hear me of course. He came around a corner and I had to wipe myself out into the brush to prevent being killed. He didn't even see me in the brush ass over head with my skis sticking out of the snow, and I barely saw him, he was most likely going 100 kilometres an hour.

I agree that a hike or bicycle ride is much more pleasurable, if not for the endorphins, dopamine, and the improved fitness and endurance. I also hate the stereotypical snowmobile/ATV culture of drunken idiots that make noise and trouble and pollute the areas they frequent. However, there are people that don't fit this mould. What bothers me most is the complete lack of foresight and thought that goes into wasting massive amounts of resources (environmental, mental, etc) for these activities.

I Am Legend JW email
by Descender inso my sister-in-law, who is a pretty hardcore jw, showed me an email that looked like it had been passed around quite a bit, so i figured someone on here had probably seen it.
supposedley it's a picture from the movie "i am legend" where will smith is walking through new york and all the buildings in the background are in ruins except for the bethel building, which stands out, undamaged and clean.
i watched the movie and don't remember seeing anything like that so i just figured that some jw photoshopped it and sent it out to the jw community to show that the bethel building is protected by god even in a post apocaliptical world run over with zombie vampires.

ten pounds in ten weeks
by Hortensia inso it's january 1 and i want to lose ten pounds in ten weeks.
i've been on a diet for a year and a half and have lost 130 pounds.
weight loss has slowed down, so i need more focus and more exercise.

Ten pounds in ten weeks is a pretty acheivable goal, no matter how you are trying to do it.
Exercise + real food - fake food - sedentary habits (like taking an elevator to go a few floors up) = feel better and do more
Endorphines are my cocaine...literally are endogenous opiates.

I had access to an ATV many years ago when I was about 12/13. I just would make it go full speed for as long as I could be allowed to ride it. The dopamine release was great. Eventually I didn't care about riding fuel powered machines... which helped since I'm poor and couldn't use them anyway.

More here for comradery than anything else now. I don't care to look at threads about doctrines and such, waste of time for me.
Eventually I would love to be able to help others... but I have to be completely healed myself first. I'm going through cycles, but the cycles don't seem to be sinking so low for so long anymore...

It's great that it's including in the film. The building stands as a testiment of reality. I saw it in the cinema twice but never noticed the building, I seriously don't look for it...

I had a wonderful time via AWAKE&WATCHING, Bumble Bee, Memario, Noni1974, JK666, Freedom Frog, and Abandoned.
A&W's family were all nice, it was great to meet them. A&W was so proud to show us off, the fact that we weren't axe-murderers as her family thought! We met many of her friends in Ohio, she's quite popular.
The first night was fun, Memario and I showed Abandoned some Trailer Park Boys on Youtube!
We had a Christmas celebration on Saturday, I have to publicly thank A&W for the 20 Questions game, great fun, and also Bumble Bee and Memario for the awesome sweater, fits perfect! And also those Alpaca gloves, man those are warm! Too bad I lost my hat during our night of revelry down by the Falls! Make that I lost my TOQUE! A&W couldn't get enough of the Lingua Canadiana, lol!
Unfortunately I got too stoned (even on American bud...) to sing karaoke... haha! But at least we all voted for A&W's friend and she won first place!
Everyone had so much fun that night we all spend Sunday in our pajamas (or the clothes we wore to bed in my case...) just relaxing and sharing each other's company. We had a Billy Bob Thorton night with two films of his, Bad Santa and Sling Blade. It was too funny watching the former first and then the latter. We had a great impersonator in Memario, and it was the running joke of the weekend afterwards.... mmmmhhhmmm
On the journey back to the Falls we saw the sites of downtown Cleaveland, thanks to Noni1974 for the guided tour from the freeway.
The Falls was great. We hooked up with Bumble Bee's kin (Tremoka among them) and had a blast. We saw the old boys of Styx, Loverboy, and Honeymoon Suite try to do their thing in the cold. Noni1974 was estatic about seeing the Falls, it's always great to be in the presence of first timer's. A&W and Noni both liked the Molson Canadian beer. Only A&W could stomach the De Maurier cigarettes though!
The next morning we all ate like emperors at the best Breakfast Buffet in town (having a local handy really helped the experience along )!
It all ended too soon, I'm missing my new American friends already. They all know they are welcome back anytime! I'll even vouch for them at the border.
