Forty-Six and Two it my friend!

so down by the falls they have the niagara festival of lights, in queen victoria park they have many thoughtful displays of "lightshows" as well as having all the trees decorated in lights.
oftentimes there is christmas music playing from the niagara park commisions's headquarters or other areas of the park.. how long did it take you before christmas didn't seem "weird" or subconsciously wrong.
like i always found christmas carols annoying, i wonder why this is now.
I went out for Halloween with some of my younger cousins.
I can't say I enjoyment made up for more than half the experience, as disconcertation made up at least half of the experience.
I felt, if not a bit old (mask), a bit tall to be trick or treating, but I did it anyway, I had to do it once, probably will never do it again. Ugh, I ate like half my candy that night and got sick...
Just send her a pm already, Mincan.
I don't consider a close personal relationship with my heavenly mother that important... I might pray to her later or something...
...oh I'll also volunteer to be her "only begotten" son...
Doesn't Goddess kind of decrease the importance of the title. I mean there were tons of Goddesses.
But a person can say "God is female"...etc
To be "GOD" is better than to be "A God" or "A Goddess" in a pantheon of Gods... my thoughts...

How long did it take you before Christmas didn't seem "weird" or subconsciously wrong. Like I always found Christmas carols annoying, I wonder why this is now. Perhaps they simply are annoying. Maybe believing they were evil and yet seeing everyone enjoy them caused me to develop cognitive dissonance which I resolved by loathing them.
Seriously, I was looking at Christmas trees in a Canadian Tire store the other day, Jesus Christ they are expensive! Never realised.
Now I told my grandma I had to throw out 4 pairs of socks because of holes. She responded with "put them on your Christmas list."
That hit me like a ton of ashlar. I paused for a minute, then smiled. Hmmm, a Christmas list you say... I just write what I want and then I get it?
Every holiday I have yet observed for the first time has been awkward and disconcerting, I assume Christmas will be the same.
So, how have you adjusted?
Just read the threads around here, I'm suspecting so...

I am listening to Aqualung to wind down after the excitement.
Ah, Jethro Tull, you're a fellow Progressive rock enthusiast!

Listening to the "Across the Universe" soundtrack. Loved the film. Love the music. Can't stop listening to it.
I really enjoyed that movie too... although I don't remember much more than 45 seconds of it, I was amazingly baked at the time, which made the psychodelic aspects of the film AMAZING...
Oh, I'm listening to the last composition of Ludwig Van Beethoven, the Große Fugue, Op.133. Igor Stravinsky said it was the greatest piece of music ever composed. Composed in 1827, it will be "modern" forever. At the time it was premiered, it was a walk-out, it gave the finger so to speak to common practice at the time. The piece challenges your perceptions of beauty, and of course being a Fugue, meaning there are four separate voices makes it amazing brain stimulating.
I challenge you to listen to both parts 1 and 2 of this and pay as close attention as you can. Feels like your brain is being massaged. These are immortal notes.
Oh, around 1 minute in is when it takes off!!....

that's the only word that comes to mind.
Aren't we forgetting the best drummer of all time is the great Canadian Neil Peart of Rush....

The last frame is my signature at Jehovahs Witnesses Online, a ex-JW forum that is superior to this one in only one thing - no censorship. I cannot stand this forum that claims to be for freed people that doesn't allow them to express themselves how they want... and that delete threads they find "disturbing" or whatnot.
Like what the hell happened to my thread about going to the assembly drunk? They deleted it. Look for it and you will not find it. Maybe they are protecting me from law enforcement or something, in which case I'm thankful, but do cops really give a flying flip about some guy who went drunk to a cult's convention?
