  This is just one example of how ridiculous it is for anyone to base their morality on a ridiculous, contradictory, compilation of atrocities.

  One more thing... just something I was thinking of recently: remember when the Israelites built the golden calf? They did this WHILE the law against it was being made... so they couldn't have known it was a sin, since they didn't even have the rules yet. After several hundred years in egyptian captivity, and with no laws against it before that even, how the heck were they supposed to know NOT to build an idol? Where they just supposed to go without worshipping god for over a month? But they were punished for it anyway.

  Good point.I was thinking of the Nephilim they had no chance of redemtion, guilty of being born. I guess if the WT explanation for the killing of the Israelites is true we are guilty of being born as well and it sort of throws the whole free will theory out the window.Oh! and yes I do want an explanation for the verses I quoted.

  thanks for the warm welcome, I appreciate your comments and I agree. another web site on atheist and angnostic is the secular web internet infidels.I like to hear a talk explaining all those cool verses. The weirdess thing is I never noticed these verses when I was a active jw. I read an article on a web site of a psychologist. He said that the way the meetings were arange it resembled a hypnotic technique developed by Freud. It's possible, that whould explain a lot.

  when everything is false, what is about those stories about demons, seances and all that stuff that is out in the world?

  what's up? I'm new here I love the topic. I'm not DF't but I am inactive(2 years now) raised in the JW. I'm 30 now and I feel free.I don't believe in the bible to many contradiction. You could see the contradictions by reading it with your religious glasses off and by doing a litle historical research.Good luck Caine. Steven Hassan's book on cults is a good read.
