  Are single sisters happier?

  this question is for the ladies out there, but if you are a man and you'd like to share your thoughts on the following topic you are welcomed to do so.

  given the wt society's view on women, did any of you ladies gave up on the idea of getting married "in the truth".

  in such case, did you sometimes feel that you were missing out?

  Just speaking from observing the single sisters in the Cong I used to go to, who are now close to 50 years old, back when I was still attending they were waiting (or so they said) for a husband in the new system. However, if any single handsome bro showed them any attention, I'm sure they would've married in heartbeat. I think if someone just bent them over a chair and gave them what they obviously need, they would drop the Borg like a hot potato

  Did I imagine a brief thaw in the Watchtower injunction against going to university?

  okay i was talking to an elder and he said me going to university was a bad idea and i should have listened to the society and not gone.

  but i said that when i went to university the watchtower was saying it might not be a bad idea to go to, as long as you do it for the "right reasons", don't associate with worldly people, and keep clear of "damaging ideas".

  but basically they said it was okay, in this "changing world" and job market to go to university.

  I graduated HS in 1975 and they weren't crazy about college back then, I can count on one hand with just a few fingers of some that I knew that went to college back then. But the young folks who were in HS in the 80's, I would say the majority of them went to college, so, as usual, it's just another flip-flop on an issue like just about everything else that they do.

  Elder harassed my mom and asked for donation

  my mom had surgery last month and she developed complication and had to be on antibiotics to treat infection.

  so, she is recovering slowly, but things was tough on her and she was not attending kh or went to assembly two weeks ago.

  nonetheless, elder showed up at her place and instead providing her with comfort he started to harass her that her faith is weak, she does not put trust in jah, etc.

  Kaik, what is your status with the JWs, if you're totally out then you can call that elder and curse him out for the way he treated your mother who's just out the hospital, he deserves it !! If you're doing a slow fade then I guess you wouldn't want to totally do that, but you can still give him a piece of your mind regarding how he treated your mom.

  Jehovah's Witnesses May Have Peaked in Membership at 8 Million (+/-)

  i don't have all the details of their new "service year" numbers, but i have read enough on jwn to state my opinion pretty strongly.. memorial attendance for 2015 was down.while they kept saying they were going to build a bunch of new kingdom halls, and everybody is still in recovery from watchtower taking all the local money away, they say pretty much that there isn't enough money to build new kingdom halls.putting gb members on the videos at jw .

  org has allowed people to really put a face and personality to these guys and remove the mystery of how they should be such deeply spiritual serious men.

  instead they see silly thoughts about tight pants and, really everything that comes out of lett's mouth is delivered ultra-goofy, along with the money reports.. the gb lost credibility a little more with every new light that shone down, with the strangest one being "overlapping generation.

  What would happen ??

  there is a certain elder in my wives hall that has seemed to developed a real interest her.

  first he seemed to feel a need to make sure all her blood cards were signed before she gave birth to our child.. he sends her text messages if she misses a meeting saying how much " we missed you last night ".

  he finally sent her a text wondering where her oct hours were , knowing she had some pretty serious tears from child birth and could hardly even walk, much less do field service ".

  We had a situation in our Hall about 30 years ago, an Elder who was in da troof for decades,married with grown children, took interest in a sister who was bringing the kids to the meetings with an unbelieving mate, the relationship wasn't sexual, but the elder was removed from elder privileges, can't remember if he was put on probation or not (what's it called when not Df'd, can't remember) but nothing happened to the sister
