Leaving jw propaganda all around the house, what to do?
by Crazyguy inthe wife leaves it all around, not sure if this is by design i don't think so since the return to jah brochure was never left out.
it drives me a bit nuts but haven't done anything about it.

or does the boe need a confession from both people.?
if one of em denies it happened will that person still get df'd?.

TheLIstener - I know that goes on a lot, we had a brother in our Cong. when I was growing up who was known for getting married to nonbeliever, get DFd, get reinstated, get married again, get DFd, wash, rinse, repeat. I can remember four wives of his, why did the elders fall for his scheme when he kept repeating himself?

How did you feel when they eliminated the Con. Book Study?

it was my favorite meeting by far.
mainly because it was a small group.

The book study started being held at my parents house when my father got baptized in the late 70's, I know the brothers could hardly wait to get that big finished basement available for meeting,since we had a lot of baby showers and gatherings at my house. I remember when they started having goody night my mother would call me and say "you should come to the meeting tonight if you want some good food, SIs, so and so is fixing this" and on and on. I just blew it off as yet another way my mother was trying to get me to attend the meetings again. How can chicken wings and cake make someone that interested to join da troof ??

It's interesting that you wanted to be with a man and your wife wanted to be with a woman, I've heard of that happening before, but not among "Jehovahs faithful servants", but it probably has happened in the Borg. We all know by this point that Bethel is basically a meat market for young men. That plus the fact that there's so many obviously gay people in the Borg, but when the nosy folks get together and discuss how Bro/Sis so and so appears to be homosexual, someone always says Jehovah will take care of it, clean up his organization in due time, and let them continue pioneering or being an elder, but if a new obviously gay person starts studying, somewhere down the line they will have a "discussion" about what is their intent about coming a JW, such hypocrisy.
That's why I use the name ShirleyW on this board to show the hypocrisy, that's the name of one of the two pioneer sisters that started attending the KH I grew up in when I was about nine or ten years old, I'm pushing 60 in a few years and these two are still "roommates". Yes I know there are many roommates all over the planet that are not in a relationship, but if you knew these two, you can get a good read of what's going on.

Back in the 70's a brother that was a close friend of my family, conducted the watchtower on Sunday and was Df'd that Wednesday at the meeting for having a affair with a pioneer sister, she was DFd too. They both got divorced and married each other and got DFd and reinstated, I remember a sister in Cong saying after they got married they stopped by her house one evening for social visit, but was kinda weird since she was friends with his other wife. I wonder if both of them ever woke up from da troof, or maybe he's still carrying on and dumped her yet another pioneer sis. -

What TV shows were forbidden in your JW household?

it was explained to me that it was an immoral show because a man and women lived together and no one was married.
the sister who gave this observation was a family friend and we were newbies to the religion.. at least i somehow managed to watch the benny hill show undetected..

My mother told me that at one of her Circuit Assemblies, this is going back almost 20 years that one of the assholes giving a talk (my words not hers) managed to work in The Simpsons into his talk and said that Dubs shouldn't really be watching the show since Bart obviously does not show respect to his father . . . pukeworthy, I know.
Funny thing is that was one of the few shows on TV that my mother enjoyed, and as much as an UberDub as she was I don't think she stopped watching

brandnew - glad the meds are taking the pain away, but I would highly recommend that you have someone go the store for you and pick up some prunes or aloe vera juice or a very strong laxative, or just in case all three ! That might sound funny, but in a day or two you just might be a bit more uncomfortable than you are now if ya' know what I mean.

THOUGHTS ON UPGRADING TO (Free) WINDOWS 10
by Terry ini've been using windows 7 for several years and have had no complaints.. i've tried many browsers and settled on google chrome.
it has absolutely everything i want or need.. i kept hearing about the free upgrade to windows 10, so i went to youtube and watched endless "reviews" pro and con.. what pushed me over the (microsoft edge) was the fact i could test drive the new operating system.
for 30 days and go back to windows 7 if i didn't like it!

I just got a new computer two months ago with WIndows 10, other computer is nine years old and runs Vista, so I needed something new anyway.
Terry, do you use Microsoft Edge? The guy at the store told me when I bought it that Microsoft released it a bit too soon before they could get the kinks out so I"ve never really used it, what do you think of it?
