Office of Public Information for Jehovah's Witnesses: "Child abuse is abhorrent to us."
Since when, yesterday?
birds of a feather flock together.

A relaxing day at the park, plus getting in your hours, if it was that easy when my mother was pioneering but had to stop because of her arthritis she could've still gotten in her hours. What a bunch of frauds !!
this guy have been at bethel for 25 years when he could have been making 75-100 thousand a year as an engineer.
so they kick him to the curb so they don't have to house him and his wife anymore.
they run into a problem at warwick and they ask him to come back for 3 weeks.
So, with all the layoffs at Bethel, does that mean they're not accepting any new recruits? Bethel is no longer a goal for the young ones in the Congregations now?
i don't mean overly obvious, or otherwise meaning to cause harm, but taught to lie for the purpose of avoidance.
this type of lying can be pervasive in areas of life that are not just to avoid discussions with people who have questions about the jw, etc.
my husband will lie/be deceitful about the silliest, simple things.
what sparky1 said above, that sums it up perfectly.
if memory serves me, when it was first introduced elders had to fill out a form to grade a jw, and only those who made the grade could do the carts.. i didn’t realize until sir82 said something on another discussion that the process had changed.. what is the process nowadays?
.
Wait a minute, is the same thing required for just knocking on doors or doing street work? I was a born in so since childhood I was always taken out in FS, but for a person studying for a while does the same apply, or you have to be an extra special kind of "uber witness smug" to sit in front of a cart and verbally tear apart the others in the Cong as the people on the street just walk by and don't pay any attention at all?
he ran into me a work and asked could he come , i said only if you're by yourself and don't wear company garb.
3 hours later and i might as well talked to myself.
i used every illustration and persuasive argument.
Coordinator? Some more new light obviously, I have no idea what a Cong Coordinator is, is that the lowest rung on the ladder for elders or something? Btw, haven't been to a meeting since the mid 80's
anybody remember the 8 day 1969 international convention.
i was at the braves stadium in atlanta all 8 days with a sunburn and then wet clothes after the rain storms.
if you were there (not necessarily in atlanta) do you remember anything about it?
I remember that CC, the kickoff meeting to find lodging for the visitors
i would pick this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=th2w6oxx0kq.
i don't know how so many are happy or fine if thinking this life is it.
haven't lost parents yet, but when with them, sometimes i'll think of this song.
Oh, as for Bobby Goldsboro and Honey I remember that song too, I think it was about his wife dying?
Btw, in Goldsboro the one that sang one of the most hokey, silly songs of all time, "Watching Scotty Grow"? I wonder how old little Scotty is now? About 48 or 49,I'd guess, and is he still called Scotty.

I was in Junior High School when Cats in the Cradle came out but really couldn't stand Harry Chapin's music (American Pie, ugh) so really didn't pay attention to the lyrics. On an episode of The Middle Mike recites the lyrics to Axel when he wants to go out instead of staying home with family. Mike (Neil Flynn) you could tell was trying not to cry, had no idea the words to that song were so moving, yet true in so many families
i finally found the questions from readers i was looking for.. from nov 1, 1999 wt .
it says.... questions from readershow do jehovah’s witnesses view voting?there are clear principles set out in the bible that enable servants of god to take a proper view of this matter.
however, there appears to be no principle against the practice of voting itself.
I don't know who the poster was but going back 10 years someone posted from the Awake back in either 1961 or 62 the exact page in the Bound Volume where it says witnesses can vote, I even showed it to my mother since she had a library of the Bound Volumes going back to the early 60's. I hope someone here knows where to find it, it says yes they can vote'
