Secret sex in the Org

2 pioneers of the opposite sex.

the brother is in his mid-20s, sister is in her late 20s.

both are alone in car as the only 2 out in field service.

I remember this sickening story. These two young sisters in there 20's were best friends, Alice and Betty I'll call them for this story. Alice's father, a brother, was a widower, so Betty married Alice's father. Alice and Betty are best friends and all of the sudden she's marrying her father, but they remained friends though and even had babies around the same time !! This brother wasn't exactly the "handsomest brother on the planet", remember what Al Roker looked like before he lost all his weight, imagine that look on a fifty something body I imagine this old geezer is either dead now or in a nursing home. I don't even know if the marriage lasted because they relocated to another state in the 1990's.

So this pedo-brother must've been checking Betty for quite some time and just waited until he felt it was safe to make his move and when he did she fell head over heels for him. That's the sickest part about the whole thing to me.

what is the sales technique here?

jw's will never knock on your door and say, "hi, we are here to convert you".

speaking to a reporter recently a jw media rep at hq said " our main purpose going door to door is not to convert but to share bible truths with people".

does anyone know the sales techniques involved here?

I remember hearing my mother saying some similar words to that when I was kid out in FS with her, so I'm thinking, why are we here knocking on doors if you don't want them to study?

Like James Mixon I think back to when I was growing up, I have great memories around the holiday season, since my father was an UBM when I was growing up. Just the TV shows back then in the 1960's are all the great reruns that make up the Antenna Channel and MeTV and other channels, the music, always looking forward to when the Supremes were on the Ed Sullivan Show.

I have on my laptop the archives of Life Magazine and Ebony (found the Look Magazine archive but forgot to save it ad can't find it now) they were always in my home when I was growing up, I like to read the issues from when I was growing just to reminisce about the good ol' days.

here we go again another will known public figure being abusive towards women.

as heart breaking it is i am glad it is coming out.

My thoughts exactly, and with that being said and as I posted on NYTImes about this, I knew this was coming, especially after last week I think it was when a producer that worked with Matt got the ax and especially after they cut Charlie Rose, Matt has been the one I thought would be next. I know two people who have worked at NBC one that the Today show, I've been told things about the on air talent and celebrities, good and bad, so how can Savannah, his dear friend say she's totally shocked when I knew stuff about him and I've never been on the NBC payroll. I bet the guys behind the cameras and behind the scenes knew. I even got a response from someone on FB that he's in the industry and had heard a few things too. Nothing surprising about Matt at all, I'm sure he's been sweating bullets ever since these stories starting making headlines.

BTW, Matt's friend, the one who was in the chair before Matt, those two were partners in crime so to speak about ten or so years ago. Matt (and friend) could've been caught by these same allegations ten years ago

we all know the gb like to impose rules upon the rules... but did anyone else out there have parents that implemented rules upon those rules?

mine did.

my mum tended to copy whatever the elders wives were doing and took it to the extreme.

Wow, I thought my mother was the most wacky, Uber Dub out there.

My mother didn't like music that had "that beat" in it, which was just loud music with bass in it, "no, I"m not having that music in my house, Jehovah doesn't approve of that", Just about every time she heard my music via radio or record player I always heard that, I guess 5 per cent of my time growing up I probably did not here that and could listen to a song beginning to end without hearing her mouth.

Also in the past i had a relationship with an elder behind closed doors who used to give the watchtower study ... I just find the religion hypocritical in some ways

The leaders of the flock are carrying on like this yet point there fingers at other religions for carrying on in this manner, I don't think your being bisexual is something you really need to worry about if you had a relationship with an elder. This cult is a sham, why do you even bother to be a part of it.

Work Christmas functions: Being a Bible Student (unbaptized)

hi all,i have been studying with the witnesses for more than 6 months and regularly attend both midweek & weekend meetings, and i am nearly at the end of the "bible teach" book.

my boss is adamant i attend team christmas functions.

she knows about my studying and potential baptism next year, and has suggested that i attend and just not participate in activities like kris kringle.

I try my best to follow all of Jehovah's rules, but sometimes I just want to quit now because it becomes too overwhelming and difficult.

Just think about that sentence, ever hear of any religion that has so many crazy rules? There's only one God in heaven so think to yourself, why after just studying for a short while you are already having a bit of difficulty conforming. So, please keep this in mind, if you choose to go forward and actually become a JW your head will spin with all the things you used to do and say that you won't be permitted to do or say anymore.

Poisonous chicken

last night my wife prepared dinner.

chicken and veg.

as she was cooking the chicken it gave off the most vile smell.

Convention “Highlights” - bwhahaha!

taking a walk down memory lane at those looooonnnnngg, tedious conventions... .

(boy, they weren’t kidding when they spoke about being long-suffering and having endurance!).

but what were some of your convention highlights, or lowlights, from back in the day?.

I also remember the tents at Yankee Stadium in the 60's with the trays and standing up to eat, as a kid that was something to look forward too. I remember the Snow Cones and the bags of fruit

But the assembly that stands out the most to me was the summer of either 1967 or 1968 when the NY area had their DC in Washington,DC at the Stadium where the Washington Senators (name of the baseball club) used to play. I'm sure this wouldn't be allowed today at any venue because of health reasons, but all four days of the assembly the toilets were not working. The restrooms were open, but they were all filled to the brim . . Like I said I was just 8 or 9, so no big deal to me, but for women and kids and changing diapers. I don't know how they did it, but keep in mind food was still served ! and of course the Uber sickening Dubs like my mother were saying on the bus ride back home to NYC, "only with Jah's spirit would we able to endure four days without a toilet". . . .
