for the so-called conscious class, those of you who know it's all a disgusting lie, what is the real reason you stay in?
i find it hard to understand how ones who know what the org truly is would continue to be an active jw.
i'm not talking about the "faders"- those with an actual plan to get out as painlessly as possible.
Jolette- Sounds like you're out on your own, you really don't have to put on the "act" for anyone, but only you can plan out how long it will take you to make the actual break from the Borg.
I've often wondered how some on the board here still go to keep peace in the family, I know I wouldn't be able to put up with hearing just a minutes worth of hearing those lies spewed forth from the podium !

We only had pastrami sandwiches at the Circuit Assembly never at the District here in NYC. Circuit Assembly food was much better that District, at the BLiss Theatre in Long Island City, the pastrami, hamburgers, Carvel style ice cream, to a kid that's the only reason to look forward to the assembly! And let's not forget the Pizza Shop on the corner and the Burger King a block or so away !

Oh, so that was a "race related" issue to, forgot that part of it.
The part I so definitely remember is on the news they played a clip of the phone conversation between his sister and either him or another sibling that they were going to tell their mother about it that evening, mom apparently didn't know her daughter-in law was murdered for money.
I vaguely remember hearing that the guy has died.

I remember that Syl, an before that one, not race related, but much worse, the fireman and his wife in Boston that had a car accident coming from Lamaze class, why died, later on they played clips on the news of him talking with his family members. He killed her insurance money. THey made a TV movie out of that one!

Quentin, your list of old shows brings back pleasant memories. TV Land isn't what it used to be when it started, the only "old" show they still run is Andy Griffith. Three's Company and Everybody Loves Raymond (went to HS with Ray Roman btw) are not my idea of nostalgic TV shows.

i met a fairly intelligent spanish woman today at starbucks.
she also looks good, i taught her to do abc's (fingerspelling-sign language) her first language is spanish, she knows some pretty good english, but needs some more improvement on her english skills.
she does not know abc's that good.

He asked us for ssssoooo many suggestions on how to do this or that, if he's on the computer to begin with, he should first go to Google or Firefox or the browser of his choice and find the answers for himself, instead of asking us all her to do his "dirty work" for him.
Have to honestly point out though, that he hasn't posted that kind of questions in a few weeks, perhaps he " got the hint" ??
