do any of you use medical marijuana?
i go to aa and there are a few who believe medical marijuana is an "outside issue" and they are ok with it.
i don't know... alcohol doesn't work for me but if it did, i would use it... i wish i could find a "new drug" that works lol.
OK folks, just got back home. I see Low Key doesn't like my judgmental statements. No I don't know if it cures asthma and ADHD, but somebody here posted that it helped one of his friends with it, so then obviously it does help. I grew up with the notion and still maintain the notion that illegal drugs are not good for you, which is why I've never used
However like I stated for terminal cancer patients and folks with severe chronic pain it does a world of good.

I'm with you all the way on that one SBC, makes me no never mind either, however, poison ivy does grow from the ground and poison ivy is . . . poison !

If poison ivy did any good for people then what would be wrong with eating or smoking it?
Nothing at all, just saying that everything that comes from the earth is not good for you, needless to say poison ivy isn't the only thing that grows that would make you deathly ill if ingested. Just like Asprin has been around for ages which is taken from White Bark, If I went to a forest and started chewing on some white bark leaves or something I would probably get sick, but when used properly, that's how Aspirin is manufactured. If you know of any component from Poison Ivy that is beneficial share it with me because I don't know.

Poison ivy also grows in the dirt, but I don't think anyone would want to ingest/smoke that.

From listening to the court shows, like Judge Judy and a few others, just from hearing the so-called "medical reasons" a lot of folks are prescribed legal pot is an absolute joke. Asthma, ADHD, really ? ? ?
Ten or more years ago it was recognized that it reduced the pain for terminal cancer patients, and for folks like Mrs. J's husband who have severe, chronic pain, I see no reason to deny them. But as stated above, the reasons I've heard Dr.s prescribe it in states where it's legal like Cali, all those Dr's licenses should be revoked !
And btw I've never even tried the stuff myself.

A friend of mine who used to work at the local NBC station in NYC met him when he was on one of the local talk shows. She was a Page and they're not supposed to "chat up the stars" or tell them how you're they're biggest fan and so forth, so once he was in the Green Room and she was minding her own business, he was talking to some other folks in the room and he made it a point to bring my friend in on the conversation he was having, she's never forgotten that !
BTW, she also mentioned that he was in desperate need of some deodorant or a quick shower.

it kinda gets my goat when folks disregard spelling and grammar.
i really get miffed at misuse of there/their/they're and your/you're, then/than, etc.. i very rarely ever go so far as to correct anyone on it, but it would seem that maybe karma caught up with me today on another thread when i typed that i had "said my peace".
The spelling here by some posters is too amazing to believe they don't know any better. My favorite however was posted a week or two ago,
instead of "doubts" the poster spelled out "dowts", now that one is just to friggin' unbelievable not to know any better ! !
Some here spell baptized, "babtized" another one that's hard to believe since this more or less is a site that has to do with religion.
the anonymity of the internet is both a blessing a curse for the information age, especially when it comes to debate.

I'll agree with what you wrote, someone a few weeks ago tried to start up with a petty argument, but, as I posted back to that person, "I'm not falling for the bait" and that was my last post on the thread, however, I guess that certain someone was full of fire (and Lord knows what else) that night and wouldn't drop the subject, so they had a one sided fight with their own self !!
i've tried and tried to like beer but i just can't.
if that sounds juvenile (with is really funny cuz i'm soon to be 47) so be it.
my hubby, on the other hand, loves beer and ale especially wheat beers.
Well, to each his own, but, I sssssooooooooooo disagree with you that beer is "yucky" ! ! !
It is an acquired taste, when I was a kid and used to taste my fathers beer I thought as you did, now that I'm way over the legal drinking age I don't see how folks live with out it. I'm beer snob, I like certain special brands that are from six bucks and up just for one bottle, but that's not an everyday thing.
Does your husband like the Belgium beers, a lot of them are made by those men that live in those retreats (can't think of the proper name for them now) and they're quite good. There are so many brands, too numerous to mention
