Always Busy - Even before Jimmy Carter said Peace and Security, I remember an Assembly at Yankee Stadium in the early 70's, that day the headlines on the New York Daily News had those exact same words (I don't remember what the story was behind the headlines). So of course, one of the speakers just had to work that into his talk and of course a few of the folks in the audience who had the paper started waving it around like it came straight from Jesus and they were touch by the heavenly spirit or something. The words peace and security have been around for centuries, whenever they're used together it sends the JWs into a frenzy.

Apple Cider Vinegar
by poppers ini've been drinking 1 tbs with a glass of water twice daily for digestion for about 3 weeks now.
i've found it helps, but it also acts as an appetite suppressant; i've lost several pounds since using it.
i'm consuming fewer calories because i'm just not as hungry as before.

To avoid the acid on the teeth issue I just use a straw and put the straw all the way back in my mouth so the drink just goes straight down with filling up my mouth.

I hope you're not using the Heinz brand vinegar.
Bragg's Organic Apple Cider Vinegar is the one that is very beneficial to your health, as someone mentioned above it has "the mother" in it. Years ago you used to see something floating in the bottle that did look kinda gross, but now it just looks kinda hazy in the bottom part.

Why I hate Tuesdays
by kneehighmiah inall throughout my life tuesdays were my meeting nights.
well tuesdays and thursdays to be more precise, when we had book study but book study was at my house so it wasn't terrible.
anyways as a kid i hated coming home from school, doing homework and then going to the meetings.

We had the ministry on Friday nights up until the early 70's. Then it got changed over to Thursdays. Everyone looks forward to Friday as the end of the work/school week, but noooo, Dubs had to come home eat and go back out again instead of resting in front of the TV or something.

I can give you a list of subway stations in NYC where the cart is set up where they do not adhere to that rule. If you just walk by slowly and look at the literature someone usually says, would you be interested in something to read, or words to that effect.

Square shaped, the background was olive green but the letters were white in bold letters. Didn't say anything to him because I was riding just two stops and he got off the stop before me. Is this something that we will see more of, like in the 1930's when Jews had to wear the Star of David on their clothing?
Also saw a set up table at my stop and I was looking around at the literature, usually they will say something to you but this guy kept staring straight, so I said to him, "you're just here to count your time or do you speak to people?" He said "we don't approach the people, only if they say something to us". When the Hell did that new policy start? They're usually all over you to take a copy of the mags, well as we know the Bible's word doesn't change, as they will readily acknowledge, but somehow their rules just flip flop all the time.

by booker-t ini think this is a hush hush topic among jws but i remember years ago at an assembly i saw two sisters(i am only assuming they were jws they could have been studies or relatives of jws) walking arm and arm like a married couple.
some of the jws looked at them like they had horns.
some of the jws moms were covering their small children's eyes and those two women were stared at like they had the plague.

I take the name ShirleyW just for the hypocrisy that's in the Borg. When I was about 9 or 10 two Pioneer sisters who were roomates moved up from FLorida to our congregation, cut to the chase, I'm a few years away from sixty and they're still roomates. Yes, I know somewhere on this planet there are male and female roomates that have been together for decades and are not an item, with these two if you saw them, you would get certain idea about them.
There have been many of brothers and sisters who wondered aloud with the others about their status, but somehow they are still faithful servants of Jah.

What I noticed was how one huge portion of the stadium must've been roped off because they don't have as many followers as they used to. I've never seen an assembly at a stadium that wasn't full, but then I haven't been to an assembly since early 1980's.
