The thing that I "think" I remember (I'm officially in the 60 plus range) is that when the actual moonwalk happened wasn't it on a Sunday evening? Just one comment I've ready today (among many) put that into doubt and I"m not just talking here on this site. But, I thought the actual moonwalk where Cronkite had to just sit back and take a breath because he was actually gobsmacked, was on a Sunday night in the evening because one comment (among many) that has me confused well, this particular one who is an active contributor to the NY Daily News is, he said he was at work at a Dept, Store and watched it on a TV in store, in NYC the store that he mentioned was not opened on Sunday, young folks we're talking 1969, and I am quite familiar with shopping area and store he mentioned in the paper today growing up in Jamaica, Queens. Other folks have mentioned they were in school or something, but we're all getting old by the minute but I thought the actual first moonwalk was on a Sunday night in mid to late evening EST.

The idiots Hollyweird destroys the Bond Franchise
by rockemsockem in99% of the people who go to bond films want a straight white english bond with a bit of light sexism and some bond girls thrown in.
they do not want a tranny bond or a gay or lesbian bond.
and they do not want a black woman bond.

A black female James Bond is just as stupid as Meryl Streep starring in "The Whoopi Goldberg Story"

1958 VS 2019 International Covention
by joey jojo inhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tlkvocpun8w.
2019. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qut4sr9elo.
so many emotional triggers and not much substance in 2019. at least they highlighted a part of a talk from knorr in the 1958 vid, nothing but a lovefest in the 2019 clip.

I was watching closely at the baptism candidates because that's the assembly my mother got baptized.
Also, pretty funny at the point in the film when Knorr was holding up the latest publication and right behind him was the advertisement for Knickerbocker beer and the guy in the ad was holding up a glass of suds right behind his shoulder, whoever shot that had to know that the angle of that shot was perfect !!

What is the longest distance you drove to attend a summer Convention?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inhere is a photo of the milwaukee brewers ( american baseball team) county stadium.
for some reason, we were assigned this outdoor stadium for our 1975 four-day summer convention.
our congregation was located 90 miles away on the north side of chicago.. some congregation members stayed at milwaukee hotels for the four-day convention.

In the 60's we had to sometimes travel to the assembly, in Baltimore and DC unless it was at Yankee Stadium. the summer of 1968 at the assembly in Washington DC, all four days the bathrooms were out of order, they were open, but they couldn't flush, these days I don't even think that would be allowed. But all the uber Dubs like my mother made the sickening, nauseating remarks like "other folks would've gone home but Jah's people met all four days with no problems". I was just a kid then, so didn't matter, but all those kids that were there and women and stuff, they used the nasty, filthy toilets anyway. Yup, only Jah's brainwashed people would meet under those circumstances and think they were receiving his blessings.

So far it's still in the borough of Manhattan (or as we folks from the outer boroughs and tourists call it, the city)
I live in Queens, hope it stays in Manhattan and doesn't spread
