by yxl1 inmy sister-in-law's husband was raised as a jehovahs witness in north yorkshire and was educated at home by his mother along with his 5 brothers and sisters.
i remember many years ago when it first became common knowledge, many brothers and sisters thought that this method of education was ideal for witnesses who wanted to remain separate from the world, but all the kids from our congregatation had a state education.
i guess my question is, was home education only limited to my in-laws husbands family, or were any of you educated at home?

Erm...well, no. Atheism is lack of belief. I'm an atheist because I have a lack of belief in a supernatural entity that can be defined as "God". This lack of belief is based on the lack of any convincing evidence to move to a position of belief. Lack of belief is the default state of reasoning, otherwise you would have to say that the existence of Santa Claus/the Great Pink Unicorn/fairies at the bottom of your garden/an honest politician etc etc are all definite posibilities and you should not state that they do not all exist. In other words, you end up acknowledging the possibilities of even the most ridiculous absurdities.

Did you use the JW calendars?
by GermanXJW ineven in my hardcore active jw time i had no use for the jw calendar.
i ordered it each year and put it into a drawer.
most months were really ugly illustrated and it was completly useless without the holidays.

tavares, florida (ap) -- a 10-foot alligator attacked and killed a 12-year-old boy who was swimming near a marina in central florida, police said.
brian griffin was pulled under the dark water wednesday, minutes after two friends spotted alligators and screamed for him to get out of the dead river where they had been swimming, witnesses said.. deputies and witnesses saw the alligator surface at least once with the boy in his jaws, but the animal quickly disappeared across the river, the orlando sentinel reported in a story for thursday editions.. the boy was under for at least 25 minutes before a sheriff's helicopter spotted him and dropped a buoy to guide deputies, who pulled him up.
