Funny/strange things you ate as a kid.
by IP_SEC inok i'll start.. 13 y/o or so.. once it rained for a month straight.
we had an old dry tank dump in the back that filled up with water.
there were tons of frogs that showed up and started breeding.. i was looking at them on the edge of the water through my .22 scope.

When I was a little kid a used to pluck the eyes out of the flounder my dad would catch and eat them.
I don't remember this, thankfully. But it is legend in my family.

Why Don't Witness Parents Get Angry?
by metatron inthere are a great many puzzlements in regard to the meek and servile compliance of witnesses but one area has long interested me.
specifically, why don't more witness parents get angry at the do-nothing watchtower society?
i can recall one somewhat deranged elder's wife who got away with demanding to speak to the assembled body of elders because she was worried that 'all of of our kids are falling out of the truth'.

I tried to reason with the father that the Society does nothing for young people but nag them and disfellowship them.
It's been going on since at least the late 70's. I am living proof.

my dad's 'annual newsletter' has made me reflect on my 'lost' family a little, we were a big family, and a close one.
so i am proud to announce i have found a close, loving, accepting new family.
