i was df'd in 1976 and lived my whole life thinking the jws have the truth and i just could not live up to the standard and was doomed to die at the big a without question.
until i found jwd 31 years later.
Ok I'll try and make sense. You can't get through to the Father unless by way of Christ and the Holy Spirit, right? So the Father needs Christ and the Holy Spirit in order to hear your prayer? The three need to work together in order to be omnipotent? Three parts, one God.
Oh and by the way, LT, imo you're right it's still all about love.

I know I am not as educated as you all about this yet but here is my simple view. God and Jesus could not do any work without the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit would not have any direction if not for God and Jesus. The three work together as One.
Call it a trinity if you want too, just don't call me late to dinner. :-)

regarding disfellowshipping the jws claim it is a policy necessary to keep their organisation spiritually and morally clean so that they won't lose the grace of the holy spirit and run further risks with dangerous influences.
they even say if the disfellowshipped want they can always repent and will be gladly reaccepted into communion with jw brotherhood so it's up to them to remove any anguishing shunning.
though this may appear to be a reasonable belief it is not quite as straight forward as it seems.
My mom always uses a scripture to back it up. I can't remember which one. If I find it I'll post it here. Thanks,

Thanks for the prayer. So, far in my reading I am leaning towards a Trinity. But, as has been pointed out, I am reading an older version of the Bible (KJV). I went in to town yesterday to see if I could get a newer version at the christian book store but it was closed. Funny though all the bars and two tatoo parlors were open. lol

My mom uses the bible to justify her love for god and hence the shunning of her own family. Matt 10: 34-37
