can someone clarify for me, in the malawi and mexico chapter(s), 1) the jws were a cultural institution in order for the society to be able to own real estate and if they were a religion, then they wouldn't own the property, or something close to that, right?
2) most importantly, were there some big real estate transactions happening in mexico during the malawi massacre where the society didn't want to do anything to rock the boat on those?

sparkplug, the way it happened, my wife's father called this morning telling her i was on this site. he asked if she knew that. she responded, not only did she know, but, she was also a part of it. he has temper issues, but, she was surprised that he actually stayed calm. she said, well, now you know, how did he find out? he said her sister, becky, googled my name, and it directed her here. i didn't give that much thought, but, after talking to people on here, i decided to try it myself. it did not direct me here no matter what i tried. so, now i am thinking she's lurking because, i really don't even know her that good, and the only people we know in common are her family. so, somebodies lying somewhere.
as for those of you who think i may be "fishing" to out people, let me assure you, my motive is the excact opposite. i realise how troublesome it can be for someone if they were found out. i am happy with my beliefs, and respect others beliefs. i only wanted to raise awareness if in fact is was possible to be found out. i don't think it is, but, if you have something to lose, make sure you protect yourself.
was talking to a mormon friend about the jw policy of shunning disfellowshipped persons.
she was pretty shocked to hear that jw totally ignore disfellowshipped ones, not even saying hello, even family members.
told her that you have to spend months attending their meetings to grovel your way back and the whole time no one talks to you, not a word.

i thought about what you guys were saying, and your right. something doesn't add up. she said she googled my name, and tracked me here. after you guys said that was improbable, i tried it. i googled my name on a few popular search engines, espically google, since that's the one she named. NOTHING CAME UP!!!!!!! is it possible she's lurking? maybe she figured out who i was while on here and had to come up with a story of how she found out. i am honest in my posts, and anyone that knows me could figure out who i am. not that i have anything to hide, but, it is interesting. what do you guys think? lurker? or other explanation.
