  Kids being disfellowshipped

  so some ex-jws and i were at dinner last night talking about how some of the ones baptized this year were so young.

  a few under the age of 10!!

  can you imagine if a kid got dfd at that age.... would the congregation shun them?

  I've been out of the JW's for 16 years, but I remember an experience I saw that made me so angry around 1995 at a kingdom hall. A young teenager had been announced over the platform as being DFed and a friend of this teenager- an elder and his wife's teenage daughter started crying over her teenage friend being DFed.

  Right after the meeting this elders wife, the girls mother berated her daughter for crying over her friend getting DFed ! She started scolding her, " We're not supposed to cry or feel sorry for those who are disfellowshipped ! They deserve what they are getting ! "

  I was so pissed off observing this from a couple rows of seats away. Made my blood boil. I'm so glad I'm out of this unfeeling, uncaring cult. Peace out, Mr. Flipper

  OCT 2019 Watchtower - Survival dependant on loyalty to JW Leaders

  there is so much wrong with the newly released october, 2019 but that's not unusual.

  what stands out is there statement claiming that survival through armageddon depends on loyalty to those 'taking the lead'.

  since they claim there will be a point during the gt that they (the gb) won't be physically around, jws must still be loyal to jw leaders.. whats interesting in this article is that they make it clear that they, the governing body are going to take part, from heaven, in the war of armageddon.

  It's so strange and freaky that usually the REAL truth of reality is the opposite of what WT leaders are feeding these JW's information wise.

  Losing a loyal friend of 14 years

  this last tuesday was one of the most stressful and sad days of our life when we had our lab morgan put to sleep.

  she was so sick and out of it we just had to do it.

  when i called the spca on monday to make a appointment to have her put to sleep i felt like i betrayed her.

  STILL TOTALLY ADD- Don't feel too much guilt my friend. I cried more over my pets dying than my staunch long time JW elder dad as well when he died a couple years ago. Cried rivers and buckets when my mom died, not so my father. There are legitimate reasons we react in these ways- and believe me, it's not our fault. Hang in there buddy. Your pal, Flipper

  STILL TOTALLY ADD- My wife and I are very sorry for you and your wife's loss of your dear Morgan. We've lost 2 black labs one in 2010, another in 2013, ages were 12 and almost 15.It's never easy. We send our deepest condolences to you both. Our animals are family to many of us, especially when they treat us better than any of our still living JW relatives ! That says a lot .   LV101- Thanks my friend, I appreciate the kind thoughts regarding my mom. She did really receive good care at the facility, better care than she would have received at her home from just her relatives who were trying to warehouse her. Best scenario would have been a full time nurse in her home to help her, but that decision was taken away from her by my elder dad. Even though she had the money to pay for such care.

  When she died, I was the only one there by her side from my family holding her hand when she expired. All the rest of my JW family had driven back home only an hour away to where they live and chose not to be with her.

  My thoughts on this ? They probably felt that because she didn't believe in the WT Society's concepts at the end, that she wouldn't receive the " privilege " ( in their warped minds ) of their presence at her death. I don't know WTF they thought, but in my opinion it was hateful and unnecessary . Many people need someone to care for them when they die. Especially our own mother's who brought us into the world. I don't think that was too much to ask for. But for my JW family, it was. Very sad. It's their loss. Peace out, Mr. Flipper
