awake 73 3/22 p.12 "....the spirit of competition between players can lead to unpleasant circumstances, as the new york times reported: most families manage to keep the conflicts that arise in games to the chess board.
but in some homes tensions linger long past checkmate.
chess has been a game of war since it was originated 1,400 years ago....the games connections with war are obvious...a play-substitute for the art of war.
A short while before that article came out, there was an Awake that yakked on about thinking a step ahead or something.... it cited Chess as an example and even put a picture in of a chess player playing chess !
i was told it says....while inclining to view the pronunciation yah.weh as the more correct way, we have retained the form jehovah because of people's familiarity with it since the 14th century.
moreover, it preserves, equally with other forms, the four letters of the tetragrammaton jhvh (nwt, 1950 ed., foreword, p. 25 [note: this admission was removed from the 1961, 1970, 1984 editions of the nwt]).. my husband wants to see a scan before he will believe this, can anyone help me please...i trashed all my old literature.. .

Thanks Nathan...that makes it even more compelling he can't say either of them are fake...he knows they are legitimate scans.
I have to say that I agree. I do try to get rid of the "bleed through" (thanks for the tip Nathan) bit when in a hurry, or wanting to produce something that looks like a photocopy, I don't worry.
