Acording to whyizit both the Insight books and the Revelation book were published in 1988.
Maybe they wrote the Sodom section in the Insight book some years earlier when the light was on, and forgot to turn it off again before publishing?

I'm thinking that it takes a long time to finish a work like the Insight books, and if they on top of that have to keep record of the lightbulb changing in other publications during the process...

It is worth noting that these quotes are from the same year and are only months apart !

Is it just me, or does the 1995 aticle NOT ACUALLY state what their interpretation is... it only states what it is not ?

A&O, I realize it's from 1995 but I don't understand it.
The 1995 article says:
In the second or larger fulfillment, "this generation" would logically also be the contemporaneous people. As the article beginning on page 16 establishes, we need not conclude that Jesus was referring to a set number of years making up a "generation."
Could the understanding that was stated at the Annual Meeting be a mutation of that thought: the "this generation" is the contemporaneous group of anointed followers from the beginning of the parousia until the End, so that there will always be anointed on the earth until the End?

It may well be, they may refer back to this article as the foundation of the new teaching. Making it look like they knew it all along.

Afraid not... we'll just have to watch and wait for the next Watchtower... but soon, real soon, it's just around the corner.

how is the WT a "literature selling scam"?

i have heard several people refer to the society as publishing company in the business.

of selling books and magazines.. i just don't see how this view can be valid considering that i almost never see.

any "voluntary contributions" come in from the door-to-door work.

As happened locally - A 'poorer' congregation did not have enough money to PAY THE SOCIETY for their literature the brothers had ordered. The WT Society was going to STOP delivering literature to that congregation if they didn't PAY UP! By literature I mean the mags, bibles etc. Two other local congs had to have a 'whip round' to pay the poor congregations literature bill!
The Society is NOT a charity! It demands payment for goods provided! If payment is not received literature is STOPPED!
The public, in theory, get the mags free. The JWs, one way or another have to scramble for cash to pay for the literautre.
Therefore, it is a SCAM!!

So the congregations have a target to meet for donations from the indivdual Witnesses, in order to pay for the literature ? I'd love to see some documents about this case.

need a tiif scan of the page with the triangle please.

please use the descreening filter in the scanner(epson calls it descreen).. i want to do some serious image work on the triangle but a crappy jpeg or png won't do.

if you think that i am obsessed with this triangle then you are right.
