I am sure from next January they will have more time on their hands with the scale down of the Watchtower Magazine. It is amazing I can remember how they use to pride themselves on the number of printed publications was a sign for the end days. Maybe, the light got brighter again and they have decided they can relax now until 2034. Cheers Steven

The GB and Field Service Activity
by karnage ini was thinking... does the members of the governing body participate in field service?
if these are men who are to take their place in heaven with jesus christ, then shouldn't they be the ones fearlessly leading the charge?
when jesus was here on earth, his disciples went on to preach about him long after jesus had died.

Unbled meat.
by DJK inwhat is the (or your) definition of unbled meat as described in 1 samuel 14:32-35 where saul fed his army unbled meat.
i would assume that his army did not travel with a herd of sheep and the meat they ate would be from the wild.. i am a hunter and when i harvest a deer, i do not hang it and cut the throat.
i have already dressed (disemboweled) the deer and that includes removing the heart from the inside which allows a total bloodletting.. there are jdubs who hunt and it is quite obvious to game officials who they are because they will check in deer with the throat cut.

Fred, Not to be antagonistic however, I beg to differ with your belief there. Once again you are quoting Old Testament. Jesus fulfilled the old testament laws, we need to understand Christianity is not based on legalistic doctrine, its based on love and salvation by grace. The Holy scriptures are guides, the old testament is a testament of Christ and what he accomplished. The day he went to be crusified was the day that the old testament was fulfilled. Christian's shouldn't keep harping on what the old testament writers wrote. We now live under the new covenant and have a personal relationship with God.

The greek word used here is 'APECESQAI' these verses are reporting a command given, rather than giving a command. Once again we need to take into consideration what the Hebrews believed, and not to offend the gentiles needed to accommodate their beliefs.

Christians - Does a JW baptism count as Christian?
by AK - Jeff ini tend to accept that mine did - i was baptised prior to the changes that made one a 'watchtower disciple'.
my dedication was and is to god - prob the reason i am finally out.. opinions?.

I don't believe a baptism by JW's would count, considering the reason and importance they put on it. To be baptised you are showing your outward willingness to follow the organisation. Baptism from a Christian viewpoint s being born again and having a personal relationship with Jesus, and allowing the holy spirt dwell within you. Cheers Steven

Help!
by meritixj ini am a ex-jw (unbaptised) who now assists people out of this dangerous cult.
i have of recent day's lost my supplier of watchtower literature, i use to receive it regularly as you all would know, a jw will not accept copies they need to see the real thing before they will even listen.
i remember once an elder told a guy i was helping that i had a printing press (i left copies of pages with this guy, even though i showed him from their own publications) in my house and that i would get their publications change a sentance or two then print it to look exactly like their publications.

Hi There, I am a ex-jw (unbaptised) who now assists people out of this dangerous cult. Anyway, thank God this guy had the insight to come knocking on my door one night and demanded to see the printing press. I invited him him and said feel free to search the house, even look under the beds. I do not own nor have I ever owned a printing press. At the end of his search he had to confess that I did not have a printing press, and what the Elder told him was total lies. We sat down for a few hours I brought out the original books with photo copies of pages, and we went page by page through. As you would expect this guy had a concience and did leave the Watchtower. Anyway, back to my original request, my supplier has become inactive and no longer can supply me with Watchtower and Awake magazines. I am located in Australia and willing to pay postage and cover cost of any english based literature. If you can help please feel free to PM. Thanks and Regards, Steven
