I thank everyone for their 2 cents. Right now, I'm drinking a soft white wine called, ' Ancient Coast' Chardonnay, it's my first time, not bad. I also drink other flavoed Chardonnay such as 'Fleur Du Cap'. Hey, each has to their own taste. Now, the ? is, what does it do for you?

My Belief in a Higher Power But Not in any Organized Religion
by flipper inhello folks.
i feel i've been out of the witness organization long enough to have developed some pretty good idea of what my beliefs are now in regards to a higher power and organized religion that i felt comfortable to share it with you , my friends here on jwd.
i respect you all have your takes, religious and non- religious, but just wanted to share a little of myself with you folks , wondering if any of you have felt what i feel.

I've come to believe in a Creator since youth. No one had to instill me that there is a Creator, and I'm a firm believer in time. With out doubt, what goes around, does come around.
When it comes to the beliefs of others, I stay out of it. The scripture in Romans 2:21-23 makes simple sense. "...do you however the one teaching someone else, not teach yourself? You, the one preaching "Do not steal," do you steal? Etc.

Died faithful so she has a chance for a resurrection --- Huh?
by mimimimi inyesterday at the grocery store, i ran into a sister from the hall.
i have not attended meetings now for 15 to 16 months, but most people there think my health has been really bad and that is why i don't go any more.
anyway, i asked her how her mother was and she told me her mother passed away in july at the age of 95. she then said that her mother died faithful, so she would have a chance for a resurrection.

"...there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous". (Acts 24:15) Doesn't this witness know her Bible?

IMPORTANT!!! WE HAVE BEEN WRONG ALL ALONG!
by deaconbluez ini just read in the live forever book, 1990 edition: "there will be only one organizationgod's visible organization that will survive the fast-approaching "great tribulation.
" it is simply not true that all religions lead to the same goal... you must be part of jehovah's organization, doing god's will, in order to receive his blessing of everlasting life...".
in print!

Hmmmmm, we've been wrong all along? This godly organization has been telling GENERATIONS that the end or system will end since their existence. All their pass presidents have passed away, their guessing games/dates has come and gone. Who's wrong?

What was your first car?
by nicolaou inmine was an old fiat 127, i bought it 1983 and it was at least fifteen years old then!
the seats were vinyl and there were no rear seatbelts so i could send my girlfriend and her sister flying with each bend in the road!
it wouldn't go above 55mph and was rattling like rollercoaster when it finally got there.. the rear window fell out and it finally croaked in puff of blue/black smoke.

A 1952 Chevy. Sorry no picture. This car took me from Boston to Montreal on $5.00 worth gas. Money went some where back in the good old days.

Did being raised as a witness make you smarter?
by Paralipomenon ina topic that came up on gabbly the other day.
i've seen a few "post your iq" or other test topics on the forums here.
if people are even close to truthful with their score i would guess the average iq would be ~125, quite possibly higher.

Satanus, you hit the nail on the head. I had a brother (not a witness) who depended on street smarts to get him through tough situations. The many years in the construction trade gave me a big boost in handling tough situations. I've had many, many years of 'worldy' experience. The witness program falls on it's face when it comes to so-called worldy knowledge and experience. How many Bible characters had so-called worldly knowledge, experience and Yahweh used them.
