Is true faith possible?

i still feel the need to worship and the desire for faith, but having been raised as a jw and not knowing anything else, i just feel confused and lost as far as faith goes.

sometimes i think that maybe their isn't a god, i just don't know......

Dont the Taoists have faith?

Dont the Muslims Have faith?

Dont all the thousands of sects of christendom have faith?

I`ve only scratchted the surface of all the beleif systems in the world,yet they all have faith

People of all faith systems/beleifs have willingly died for their cause and in many cases killed others for their faith

Millions upon millions of people have died over the centuries because of faith

"Faith" like every other beleif in a" God" is subject to a human interpretation

What was the last meeting you ever went to?

i figured out it's been 4 months and 5 days since my last meeting ever.

july 10th, it was a sunday.

i hadn't been there in 2 months or so and decided to see if anyone noticed i'd been gone.

It would have been in the mid to late 1990`s to a" sisters" funeral,who was dear to our hearts.I would never set foot in a KH again no matter what

well, it's been a while... haven't been on the forum much lately.

with ali's last health scare, it has been a little overwhelming to keep up with everything.... ali continues to improve, in fact, her heart has improved so much that her cardiologist wants to document her case and publish it.

he has never seen someone improve so quickly.

Anybody here remember Mickey Spillane ?

i was just thinking back to the time when i was a teenager , i would read a lot of novels,this was before i became a jehovah`s witness and i came across mickey spillanes novels ,mike hammer detective stories,which later became a tv series with darren mcgavin.

during the sixties i learned mickey spillane became a witness,as i understand it from a tract left under his door,and if i remember correctly he became a ministerial servant conducting the weekly book study.he had apparently stopped writing his sex /crime /booze,pulp fiction type of thing.. later on i saw, possibly the 80`s or 90`s that he had started writing again,with the same old formular,and apparently a new much younger wife.

can anybody fill in some details here ?.

have anyone of you read, the absolutly jaw dropping paragraph in this article about a women who was hit by her husband?

its in page 25 of the 2/15/12 wt study edition (i read the dumbed down version).. .

if there was any question, that the watchtowers stance is for wives to simply take it when their husbands abuse them, this makes it crystal clear.. who the hell is scanning these things before they go to print?

So on a much more serious note to the one I posted previously,this religion does nothing to protect /help/encourage women, of low self esteem,or are vulnerable ,for one reason or another , to abusive husbands,to get help and get them away from the plight they are in,rather they would just get the abused women to put up with it until he ,if ever, sees the" truth" according to the watchtower Society.

The fact of the matter is : any male that beats his wife is not a christian.....No sorry.... Any male that beats his wife is NOT A MAN

So what, he beat her for 17 years ? and she still didn`t learn ? then he thought, crap I`ll never get through to her unless I become a witness,now I can still beat the crap out of her with Jehovah`s blessing

a very reliable friend told me this: the bro was commenting on what was "unacceptable" conduct in the bedroom between married persons.

needless to say, he had everyone's attention.

he went on to say "we must avoid perversions such as oral and annual sex.

Please keep us informed if you have any success with your"letters".The day after I sent a letter via the web to the Herald Sun a journalist phoned my wife,I was out,and said he would call back later,he never did and my wife didn`t get his name.

To date my "letter" has not been published in the newspaper
