  the nw translation and some of its unique renderings, like john 1.1- "a god," and colossians 1.16 - "all other things," have been consistently at the top of the most debated topics here in this forum and elsewhere from the beginning.

  the anger felt by detractors of the nwt rendering of john 1.1 (a god) has diminished considerably if compared to the furious debates surrounding the verse that raged on during the 1950 thru 1970s.

  To put it in a nutshell ,Jehovah has failed miserably in not being able to preserve accurately his own words that have come down to us through the ages in the form of the Bible.

  He does not sound like an almighty God to me.

  Shunning ? did JEHOVAH shun Satan ?

  i don`t know if this has been addressed before , however it appears there is an inconsistency and a big one at that with the practice of shunning with jw`s.

  elders / ministerial servants look out for the spiritual health of the congregation , and if they see something they feel is detrimental to the spiritual health of the congregation they are going to act to rectify it, .

  they take appropiate action where they think is necessary .

  .However , are they following the example of the GOD JEHOVAH , whom they profess to worship ?

  After Adam and Eve failed there test of obedience , JEHOVAH ,virtually shunned them , having no direct contact with them or there offspring for evermore. He dealt with people by means of Prophets etc.

  However , the instigator of Adam and Eves disobedience , Satan the Devil , still had the ability to talk one on one with JEHOVAH GOD for centuries later, as described in the book of JOB. And apparently he could still continue to do so up until he was finally outed from Heaven in 1919 or thereabouts ,According to JW beliefs

  Another question arises here , Why have humans suffered so much and Satan the Devil not suffered anything anywhere near what we have gone through , yet he was the instigator , the source of all this problem .?

  Reviewing all of the above , JEHOVAH GOD , did not shun SATAN the DEVIL until , according to scripture , he tolerated him up in heaven until 1919 when he was ousted according to the G,B, of Jehovah`s Witnesses.,

  That`s approximately 6000 years that JEHOVAH GOD tolerated Satan the Devil without shunning him.

  Muslims vs. JWs as friends

  this is not meant to be a controversial discussion, but just mentioning what has happened to my daughter.. i personally started my fade early this year 2015, it has resulted in my losing all my so called jw friends and the brake-up of my marriage.

  when i split up with my wife, she asked our daughter who she would like to live with, my daughter decided to live with me, and also abandoned the cult.. recently my daughter told me that she is very disappointed with the congregation of jehovah's witnesses because she thought she had friends there, but now she has realized that it was all conditional, not a single one of them has even remotely tried to keep contact with my daughter, she is 15, not baptized and never a publisher.. now yesterday she met up with a jehovah's witness friend who is in another congregation.

  this friend is also 15, baptized since she was 14, a very dominant elder father, and has virtually no association outside jw circles, and also internet access is banned at home.

  When JW`s walk away from householders in the D2D work who are unresponsive or even aggressive , when they call , they do not shun them for evermore .The next time they are out on that territory they are knocking on these same peoples doors , believing the situation in there life may well have changed , and they might now be receptive to the message they bring. In other words they are not shunned .

  So apparently , in practice , once an unbaptized person no matter how old they may be , who has been attending the meetings and then decides not to go again in the foreseeable future , is shunned by all in the Congregation , even though they were never baptized .

  " people join, and why people stay.. the co's talk on inspired truth and inspired error made much reference to habakkuk "not be late.".

  and then, they actually verbalized the bending truth video, for those wondering about the delay, and what to do.. "think about how much time and money you have already invested in serving jehovah.

  Some seem to think this is a JW video put out on JW.Org it is not ,Nor do I believe it would ever be sanctioned by any Elder in any Congregation , certainly not JW.Org.

  That`s why it is an excellent video to watch , one of the best I have ever seen to protect you from becoming a victim of a high control manipulative group. whether it be religious or otherwise.

  since the overlapping generations doctrine was introduced, i have found the jws i know to be uncharacteristically silent on the subject.

  i can't remember hearing a single dub try to defend this idiocy.

  but that all ended recently.

  In hindsight one could ask her what scripture exactly states it`s an overlapping generation , I can`t find it in my NWT of the Bible., and when she goes on to quote the G.G. member , you could say , So it`s not a specific scripture that states it , it is only an interpretation of said scripture by the G.B.

  35 Years Ago Today - John Lennon - Peace Advocate was Murdered

  in this age of violence with the san bernardino and france massacres sometimes it's good to reflect on the wise words of the peace advocates among us who proposed a better solution in bringing a more civil society to our universe.

  john lennon, martin luther king jr. - people who stood up for equal rights and world peace and denounced violence and war - no matter how that violence occurs.

  please feel free to comment on stories of john lennon on this thread and feel free to post any you tubes of his music that you may have enjoyed through the years.

  It may be news to some , who point out that John Lennon was not perfect , neither was Jesus Christ perfect.

  Think about it , Mary was an imperfect human being and the seed from God was perfect shall we say .

  It takes two to make a baby 50% imperfection + 50% perfection =imperfection .

  If I went into a pub and the bartender told me he would give me the perfect beer , and then he poured 50% of beer into a pint and then poured 50% of contaminated water to fill that pint I would throw it over him .

  John Lennon was an imperfect human being , like the rest of us , who was responsible for some of the great songs of today

  ." Imagine" is the song that the U.N. should make a reality of on Earth , adopting it in there charter , then again maybe I`m dreaming.
