Does anyone think Jehovah is protecting the org. despite all the talk about THE ARC ?

i've been thinking this for a while.

even before the arc scandal.

it seems no matter what, the org.

The ARC highlighted that JW`s never contacted the police or Child Protection Agency`s about the abuse that happened in 1006 cases that the judicial committees of J.W.`s handled over decades of time.

That is only in Australia , it is not the only Country , this same avoidance of contacting authorities has happened in .It is a recurring theme that has occurred in numerous Country`s across the globe , in Europe , Australasia , and the America`s .

So it is no isolated case.

It`s a worldwide policy that is the problem in the Jehovah`s Witness Religion that needs to be addressed .

Maybe the United Nations should become aware of this problem within the Jehovah`s Witnesses .

I expected to see dlilappidated old buildings that were run down and ready to be bulldozed , not some fine serviceable buildings that still had life in them .

Any update on what the congregations who met in those halls are now doing ?

Midweek meeting

almost two months into the change in format of the mid week meeting from the school and service meeting format to the christian life and ministry (clam) format.

in my congregation, seems attendance is down 10-15% over the normally low attendance for the mid week meeting before the change.

some indicate that the meeting under the clam format is very "intense"...you really need to study and research to be able to participate or get anything out of the meetings.

Midweek meetings were always under attended , and I`m going back well over 20 years ago .

So if meeting attendance is dropping even further that is good news to me.

The trickle leaving the religion, may yet turn out to become the floodwaters leaving , that no one can stop.

A church Elder said Child Abuse was a despicable crime and a sin , however Elders never inform Law Enforcement Agency`s or Child protection Authorities about these abuses when they come to light.and want to keep it in-house to protect Jehovah`s name.

Celebrating for the first time!

okay i'm so excited, i'm celebrating valentines day today!

i walk into work this morning (normally a sterile office filled with boring engineers like myself) to find everyone clad in decorative hearts with streamers hanging from the ceiling and heart shaped goodies in the kitchen.

had i walked in on this last year, i would've kept my head low and tried to avoid all conversation unless it was strictly about work.

Freedom is not a dirty word , you should be able to do what you want ( lawfully that is ) without having the thought police saying NO you can`t do that

J.W.`s hone in what you can`t do according their rules , it`s more like a dictatorship.

just watched this remarkable documentary about the exclusive brethren here in the uk.

their shunning policy is remarkably like watchtowers policy except even more extreme.

its heartbreaking how families are torn apart by such man made policies based on their interpretation of scriptures.

So what would YOU suggest Simon with all due respect .? Jehovah`s Witnesses , Mormonism ,Exclusive Brethren

etc , . etc, with over 40,000 Christian sects where do you start ?

And that`s only Christendoms religions , what about all the rest ?

It`s too big for one Country to tackle , it is only something that a united approach from a quorum of World Governments could achieve. If they have the willpower or the incentive to do so .

Surely in this 21st Century Religious superstition has run it`s course .

Fisherman ...,Elders and MS, committed these crimes and they , the powers that be ,the G.B , .Legal ,dept. did not in any case in Australia , or in any Country overseas , did the Elders report Child sexual Abuse to the Law Enforcement Agencies , it has always been the policy to treat these situations in-house , and not to involve the police , social or child protection Agency`s , because they never did so .

It also has to be noted that individual publishers in the congregation have been involved in child sexual abuse that the Elders have been involved in judicial Committee matters within the congregation and again it has been dealt with in -house , with no involvement with the police or Child protection Agency`s .

We don`t want to bring reproach on Jehovah`s name .

So nobody in the Elder , Ministerial , Governing Body or the Legal Department ,ever notified the police or Law Enforcement Bodies or Child Protection Services of the Abuse against children under their care,.

And they never ever warned the public of a potential sex offender in their midst , who could still go door to door in the ministry ,failing the 2 witness rule , nor did they ever warn their own congregants of a potential sex offender in their own congregation .

And that remains a fact to this day.
