  Hello Everybody

  i didn't see an introduction forum anywhere but i thought it would be weird to start posting without first introducing myself so, here we are.

  i'm 15, and i've been looking for a place to discuss my thoughts on the religion that i'm pretty much stuck in at the moment.

  my mom and dad divorced over their different beliefs over a year ago (my mom is jw and my dad is an very knowledgeable apostate, so you can see how they would fight over it), and since then i've stopped believing altogether.. just thought i'd say hello.

  lf evolution is true then doesnt it make sense that other life forms exist on far away planets.?

  just thought ld throw it out there for discussion.lf we evolved from nothing doesnt it stand to reason that other life forms also evolved from nothing?l mean lets face it time is infinite.

  so given enough time its possible for anything to happen isnt it?

  If abiogenisis And evolution are true , then shouldn`t it be common or at least happening in other parts of the universe ?

  Fair comment.... But who`s to say it hasn`t ? It is almost incomprehensible to take in the size of the universe , let alone to know what is taking place here or their .

  Our knowledge of the universe is like a drop of water in a bucket of water with our technology today , sure we have made inroads , and the more we learn the more questions are asked.

  And in the future we will advance in knowledge and techniques to find out more about the universe we live in.

  It`s just out of our reach at the moment .

  OK I`ll bite , first off evolutionists do not say life evolved from nothing , that is a misconception to say the least.and exposes your ignorance in this field.Cast off your simplistic , Watchtower view of evolution and read some science regarding the topic.

  Let me ask you this question , why do you think their are billions of galaxies in the known universe , this means their are billions of stars in the universe , some like our sun , others smaller , and even others that are far larger in size than our sun. ?

  Why / how do they exist.?

  These billions of stars that exist , by all accounts have billions more planets that revolve around them .

  The fact that our technology to date has only found over a thousand such planets in near galaxies does not mean the greater number of galaxies do not have planets orbiting them , it just means because of the distances involved and our limited technology to date is we can not verify them to exist.

  While their is no evidence as yet , of any life , primitive or otherwise , microbiological , bacteria , or whatnot , in our galaxie , the milky way,, their are other planets that exist and the have not one , but a number of moons orbiting them Have you ever wondered why ?

  atomant , dont take offence at my post but do yourself a favour and look outside the box,the religion of J.W.`s has conned members for well over 100 years .

  Think about this : the words/statements in the Bible have remained unchainged for over 2000 years , and all religions including the Jehovah`s Witnesses have accepted them.

  However the words / statements made by Jehovah`s Witnesses in their publications are in a continual state of flux , changes , flip flops ,in only 135 years of their existence .

  Who in their right mind could put faith in their words ?

  Did the Bible writers keep changing their beliefs / statements /words , every few years with the excuse , we have new light from Jehovah ? , in the 4000 years that the Bible was written ? From Moses to the Apostles ?

  I don`t think so .

  It amuses me that imperfect human beings ( imperfect because of GOD by the way ) speak up for GOD , defend his/her existence and in most cases try to convert others to believe in their GOD .

  Yet their GOD who they profess to believe in stays silent , doesn`t say one word in his/her own defence .

  According to the Old Testament he had no trouble communicating with humans , sheep herders and what not`s .

  In this day of modern technology , would it not be a simple thing to make the whole world aware of his/her existence in an instant of time ?

  Settling the issue once for all time ? Then the world of living humans could decide whether they wanted to serve him/her or not , and then he could bring on his/her Armageddon if " it " (sick of saying him/her ) wants to.

  Is GOD Almighty or not" it" does not seem to be to me

  Why would an Almighty GOD leave it up to imperfect sinful humans to defend and speak for him/her.and not do so itself.

  Why did G.Jackson swear on the Bible at the ARC , Matt.5:34-37. whereas other Elders made an affirmation , declining to swear on the Bile.?

  I thought J.W,`s claimed to be united in their beliefs.?

  Jehovah`s Witnesses official policy is that Blood is sacred and it should be poured out on the ground and not used in any way , including Blood & Bone Fertilizer in the garden.

  Yet the Governing Body approves Blood fractions to be used in life saving techniques used by the Medical profession while denying whole blood transfusions ,

  Where does the Governing Body think that Blood Fractions come from ?

  Blood fractions are derived from whole blood that is donated by donors in the community , stored and then processed in a Laboratory , whether they be members of Christendom , non Christians , Atheists , and others , all of which are classified as deserving of death at Armageddon as enemy`s of God..

  Jehovah`s Witnesses are forbidden to donate Blood and will be DF if they do , even for their own use for fractions to be used at a later date if need be., yet they have the approval to use fractions of blood donated by Satans system of things,

  Some witnesses have said to me "Oh no I wouldn`t take fractions of blood , they miss the point the Governing Body says it`s OK .

  Now isn`t that a contradiction ? Hypocrisy ? Double Standards ?

  Just a simple question.

  do you think it is easier for an elder to wake up to the wtbts because of the position he is in which gives him access to info that the rank & file would not be privy to, or do you think it would be harder for him to wake up because of all the prestige/power/admiration he receives as a result of being an elder, or does it come down to something else entirely?.

  Not meaning to demean anybody here , but Elders are big fish in a little pond .

  In the outside world , for the most part , they are nobody`s , in the organization of J.W.`s they are perceived as somebody ,and of course the ego kicks in.

  Here in J.W. land I`m a somebody , if I give the Eldership up I become a nobody again.

  Just my 2 cents worth.

  but thanks to the excellent health care on this site iam on the road to recovery, and can now fully appreciate what a gloriouse thing it is to be free from the w.t and savor approaching spring in all its beauty, ....however i am not sure i am ready for debating on all the boards many heavy threads about gods existence and evolution .. anybody else feal the same?

  Not that I can answer your question specifically Luther

  . However I was an MS and associated with Elders socially and we all had plenty to drink at functions without getting drunk / I would say we could drink a lot without being visibly intoxicated .And in those days you could get away with it.and even drive.

  We did have a good social life.among the J.W.`s

  Nobody in our circle of friends was ever charged with drink driving.

  Of course this never happened every weekend , maybe it happened once or twice a year in my 33 years as a J.W. , just to set the record straight.

  No way could you get away with that nowadays.
