hi friends.. as the op states lately my mouse keeps dying on me while i`m in the middle of typing a post or whatever and so i lose all that i have laboured to type.. i keep resurrecting the mouse but now it`s dying more frequently .. any suggestions on how to get around this problem , or am i flogging a dead mouse ?.

Thanks talesin for your suggestions however maybe my pc is as old as me , or as senile as me , I`m not sure which , however it seems to be behaving itself lately , touch wood and cross my fingers and hope the Borg dies.
The next time my son visits I will show him all your tips , he is the one who set up my pc for us.

i was going over the type / antitype articles that were released in last year's watchtower articles and i've just realized how ironic it is those very articles can serve to demolish some of the most fundamental jw teachings.. take for instance the "questions from readers" section of the march 15, 2015 magazine.
after mentioning some "far-fetched" interpretations that others have applied to bible events, they go on to say:.

Surely sooner or later more and more people are going to see the double standards applied by the organization where celebrities and people with exceptional wealth are given a " get out of jail card " where by the average jane or joe Jehovah`s Witness is going to be hauled before the JC for a far less transgression.
Especially when such actions are taken against teenagers of the rank and file , yet adult celebrities are given a free pass.

i have drawn the conclusion that when god speaks, he is using the language and the concepts of the time.
he is not revealing a new scientific understanding when he speaks.
that would be distracting from the point being made.
Well God hasn`t spoken to man for over 2000 years now , maybe he/she is afraid of being outed as a fraud not having a clue about modern day scientific facts.
Then again maybe GOD only exists in the minds of the superstitious people of centuries ago and filters down to the superstitious people of today.

I thank all of you for your suggestions , however i`m a computer nerd and well into my 70`s which does not help.
My mouse is a logitech plugged into my harddrive ? no batteries .
When I have the problem I turn off the pc unplug it from the wall and unplug the mouse from the harddrive ?
which has fixed the problem until next time it happens and I do it all over again.
Maybe I`m a lost cause.

I would love to know how to control my pc with just the keyboard but I am afraid it may be too complicated for me.

even though i now consider myself an atheist and have little time for religion as such , i have to acknowledge that some religious institutions , and even some i would consider a cult more so than others , do a fantastic job in the field of charitable works.. for so many in our communities who are disadvantaged ,in one way or another , the down and outs , for a better phrase , those that have succumbed to alcoholism , drug dependency , mental illness in it`s many forms , homeless people , juveniles suffering abuse of one sort or another at home , domestic violence , etc.
etc.
the list just goes on and on .. yet their are religious charitable institutions who are at the forefront of helping these people offering and lending a hand both physically , emotionally , and even financially to support these people without judging them .. so even though i consider myself an atheist i can commend what these religious institutions do to for these people... i can`t say the same thing for jehovah`s witnesses who will take , take , take and give nothing in return.. smiddy.
