Demon possesion, bunch of crap or?

i've been using the forum to vent and post a lot more frequently lately as a venting purpose & way to obtain peace of mind with the craziness i've been going through recently as i fade away form the org.

anyways today i'm sitting here at work and thinking to myself about demons... ok i know this sounds crazy but has anyone else out there been traumatized by the thought of demons?

i had a dream the other night, just flat out spooky and i woke and couldn't help but feeling it may have been evil ole' satan and his demons at it again.. i don't want to believe that, (trying not to, & just brushing it under the rug so to speak) but have any of you out there been talked up about demons?

How many Bible accounts , in either the Old testament or new testament are their about people with a mental disease , .I would suggest very few.What are your thoughts.?

How many Bible account ` s are their about people who are possessed by a Devil or demons in the Bible , I would suggest their re a great many number.

Demon possession is strong in the Bible.

Mental Illness is almost non existant in the bible.

My theory /belief here is the ancient Bible writers never had a clue about mental illness in those days , so they just assumed it was the work of the Devil , influenced by the beliefs/superstitions that was paramount of those times.

So those poor souls accused of demonic behaviour were nothing more than being victims of a condition they had no control over . , mental Illness .

Was Sgt. Robert Wilson 111 , a practicing Jehovah`s Witness in good standing ? I don`t think so.

More likely he was either a fader or had rejected the teachings of the Jehovah`s Witnesses long ago to become a police officer.

However this grandmother saw an opportunity to promote the JW cult and maybe count some time in the process at her grandsons expense.

The Obama administration/security failed to identify this breach of propaganda for personal causes that the White House does not endorse.

Where was his mother ? his father ? Are they Jehovah`s Witnesses in good standing ? or had they long left the religion too presumably as their son had done.

myself and my peers in the jw organization in the 1960`s discouraged our children from entering into competitive sports because of the jw policy , regarding that scripture .. has their been a radical change since then ?

a re-interpretation of that scripture ?.

why i ask this question is : here in victoria australia where afl football ( aussie rules ) is often regarded as a religion , especially to the state, victoria , we have, according to the media , a devout jehovah`s witness playing professional afl football at a competitive level.. and at their latest win , the team , including alec rance a jw of the richmond club was enthusiastically singing the club victory song along with his teammates on their win .. are their other examples of this in other parts of the world or is this an australian hiccup.. smiddy.

I`m on Windows 10 and my mouse keeps dying , any suggestions ? what to do ?

hi friends.. as the op states lately my mouse keeps dying on me while i`m in the middle of typing a post or whatever and so i lose all that i have laboured to type.. i keep resurrecting the mouse but now it`s dying more frequently .. any suggestions on how to get around this problem , or am i flogging a dead mouse ?.

Thanks talesin for your suggestions however maybe my pc is as old as me , or as senile as me , I`m not sure which , however it seems to be behaving itself lately , touch wood and cross my fingers and hope the Borg dies.

The next time my son visits I will show him all your tips , he is the one who set up my pc for us.

i was going over the type / antitype articles that were released in last year's watchtower articles and i've just realized how ironic it is those very articles can serve to demolish some of the most fundamental jw teachings.. take for instance the "questions from readers" section of the march 15, 2015 magazine.

after mentioning some "far-fetched" interpretations that others have applied to bible events, they go on to say:.

Surely sooner or later more and more people are going to see the double standards applied by the organization where celebrities and people with exceptional wealth are given a " get out of jail card " where by the average jane or joe Jehovah`s Witness is going to be hauled before the JC for a far less transgression.

Especially when such actions are taken against teenagers of the rank and file , yet adult celebrities are given a free pass.
