JWs in denial, so sad

i had a couple of jw sisters call at my door today.. they started with the bizarre "can we read you a scripture" and read about "death being no more" and asked what i thought of that.. i said it sounded like a mix of disney and dumb.. they then launched into how god was going to put an end to death and wasn't that wonderful?.

i said it would have been more wonderful if he'd not created death in the first place.. they thought man created death by disobeying so i questioned why god couldn't have just forgiven them.

apparently "because he loves us" is supposed to be a satisfactory answer to why he kills us.. i asked how loving it was to kill hundreds of thousands of children in tsunami's, disease and so on.. at this point, they gave up on the 'god is love' and switched to the bible being true no matter what because it was an old book and moses had written the first chapter (says the book).. when i suggested it really wasn't that old and that most of the bible myths were copies of older stories from before it was written they questioned if i studied the bible and theology.. then i told them i was brought up as a jw so knew it was all crap.. now it was game on, they immediately switched to play defence questioning why i'd left (and i think they'd already taken a step back away from "the evil" obviously emanating from me).. not much time to say much before they cut and run so i told them i'd left because i found out it was all based on lies and that the watchtower was corrupt and covered up things like child abuse.. oh no, you're thinking of the catholics one of them said (some disdain in how she said "catholics" as though "we're so much better than them").. "well, i challenge you to do a search for the australian royal commission and you'll see the testimony the watchtower leaders gave and the damning evidence that they covered up abuse and reported none of it to the police.".

Maybe we should find out the address of JW`s in our area and do a house call on them when they don`t expect it and give them an anti-witness and see how they feel about being "witnessed to " at an inconvenient time .

back to topic , How in the world can any Jehovah`s Witness ignore Jackson a G.B. member and Elders , pathetically not defending the" Good News" before a governmental inquiry in the video streaming of the Australian Royal Commission held in Australia.?

Can anybody really be that stupid that they dismiss such evidence ? facts ? And if so they need to be confronted with their insanity .

Jehovah Witness vs Jehovah's Witness

being brought up as a jehovah's witness means you are so used to the term that you rarely stop to think about it.. one thing i've noticed is that people unfamiliar with the religion will say "jehovah witness" (no 's) instead which i always found a bit grating.. but watching the us election, something struck me.

people are often referred to as "trump supporters", not "trump's supporters" and so on.

thinking about other things, people would say they were "united fan's", not "united's fans" and so on.. it seems weird that a group would refer to themselves as though it was someone else talking about them (in the 3rd person, if i have that right).. what do you think?

At no time after the publication or oral announcement of Isa.43:12 did any tribe of the Jews , view it as an endorsement/ command to identify themselves as Jehovah`s Witnesses or Witnesses of Jehovah ?

No they did not .

When Jesus was on earth did he ever chastise the Jewish religion or people for not identifying themselves as Jehovah`s Witnesses ? No he did not.

In fact the Christian Greek Scriptures plainly state that followers of Jesus Christ were by Divine Providence to be called Christians , not Jehovah`s Witnesses.Acts 11:26 " it was in Antioch that the disciples were by Divine Providence called Christians " not Jehovah`s Witnesses.

Emily Thornton is a staff writer covering higher education ?

hasn`t she twigged that Jehovah`s Witnesses are against higher education ?

That the Loyalty theme of the Regional Convention is all about being loyal to the Governing Body members even if they don`t understand the reasons why they should be loyal ?

Instead of just parroting what the Watchtower media gives to journalists Emily Thornton should do her own investigation into this religion by getting first hand experiences from people who have left this cult ,otherwise she loses all credibility of being a serious journalist worth her salt.

Demon possesion, bunch of crap or?

i've been using the forum to vent and post a lot more frequently lately as a venting purpose & way to obtain peace of mind with the craziness i've been going through recently as i fade away form the org.

anyways today i'm sitting here at work and thinking to myself about demons... ok i know this sounds crazy but has anyone else out there been traumatized by the thought of demons?

i had a dream the other night, just flat out spooky and i woke and couldn't help but feeling it may have been evil ole' satan and his demons at it again.. i don't want to believe that, (trying not to, & just brushing it under the rug so to speak) but have any of you out there been talked up about demons?

How many Bible accounts , in either the Old testament or new testament are their about people with a mental disease , .I would suggest very few.What are your thoughts.?

How many Bible account ` s are their about people who are possessed by a Devil or demons in the Bible , I would suggest their re a great many number.

Demon possession is strong in the Bible.

Mental Illness is almost non existant in the bible.

My theory /belief here is the ancient Bible writers never had a clue about mental illness in those days , so they just assumed it was the work of the Devil , influenced by the beliefs/superstitions that was paramount of those times.

So those poor souls accused of demonic behaviour were nothing more than being victims of a condition they had no control over . , mental Illness .

Was Sgt. Robert Wilson 111 , a practicing Jehovah`s Witness in good standing ? I don`t think so.

More likely he was either a fader or had rejected the teachings of the Jehovah`s Witnesses long ago to become a police officer.

However this grandmother saw an opportunity to promote the JW cult and maybe count some time in the process at her grandsons expense.

The Obama administration/security failed to identify this breach of propaganda for personal causes that the White House does not endorse.

Where was his mother ? his father ? Are they Jehovah`s Witnesses in good standing ? or had they long left the religion too presumably as their son had done.

myself and my peers in the jw organization in the 1960`s discouraged our children from entering into competitive sports because of the jw policy , regarding that scripture .. has their been a radical change since then ?

a re-interpretation of that scripture ?.

why i ask this question is : here in victoria australia where afl football ( aussie rules ) is often regarded as a religion , especially to the state, victoria , we have, according to the media , a devout jehovah`s witness playing professional afl football at a competitive level.. and at their latest win , the team , including alec rance a jw of the richmond club was enthusiastically singing the club victory song along with his teammates on their win .. are their other examples of this in other parts of the world or is this an australian hiccup.. smiddy.

Are their other examples of this in other parts of the world or is this an Australian hiccup.
