  i used to be a member of this site, but jumped off a good number of years ago (08?).

  i don't have access to my old email, so i'm using a new account.. anyway, i was baptized jw in late 90's.

  da'd mid 2000s.. when i left there were three meets a week plus field service.

  Members of the Governing Body used to be just names we heard or maybe a photo in a magazine if he was lucky.In other words their was a mysterious persona about them .

  Now they are JW.ORG media personalities , hogging the limelight ,and in some cases showing what buffoons they really are.

  The F&F have now been indoctrinated to wear badges , trinkets ,necklaces , bangles broaches etc. with JW.ORG ,the tetragrammaton , WT 1916-2016 H.Q., and all sorts of other trinkets advertising the cult .

  between 11/2015 and 05/2016 they merged in germany 48 congs into 24 congs.

  in this time they build 16 language-groups and 3 sign-language-groups.

  Maybe they are just trying to wake up the spiritually deaf .their has to be a lot of them

  ,Your right s.o ,you would only find maybe one or at a pinch two if that , in any congregation who are deaf.

  Maybe their is a cart going around Germany with a JW crier ringing a cowbell calling out "Bring out your deaf"

  Newspaper article on Conventions—why so glowing?

  every year in dozens of cities where conventions are being held, newspapers typically write an article about the event.

  there are exceptions, but usually it is like the articles above.

  i would love to see more newspaper articles that did some actual objective reporting, rather than puff pieces.

  zeb ,that is a common practice to have special editions that are only sold at the convention sights.

  Naive JW`s think what a great witness is given to the community not knowing they are the only ones receiving those copies.

  I tried to have a beard a couple of times over my 33 years " in " it was tolerated for a couple of weeks then the heavies showed their hand.

  I have now worn my beard for over twenty years and they can all get stuffed.

  CC have you watched the show Dicte ? especially the first season , its interesting.

  the issue of whether beards are acceptable or not is addressed in the september 2016 watchtower - well sort of.

  it is as clear as mud as to whether they are allowed in places like australia, usa and britain.. 17. what are some factors that may affect whether a brother wears a beard?17 what about the propriety of brothers wearing a beard?

  the mosaic law required men to wear a beard.

  Why for the love of me do the WTB&TS make such an issue over men having a beard ?

  It`s absurd .

  It was a requirement for Old Testament /Hebrew Scripture men to have a beard according to Jehovah`s Law.

  Christ Jesus , his Disciples ,his Apostles , and the Jews at that time all had beards in accordance with the law.

  Where in the scriptures does it say that GOD/Jehovah now disapproves of men having a beard , where does it say that in the Bible.?

  While we are not under law , does not mean we reject everything that was under law. since becoming Christians.

  Jesus and his disciples all had beards , grow one and see how long it takes for the Elders to come down on you for growing one.

  Didn`t Jesus and his disciples wear clothing that was indistinguishable from women ?

  I mean men didn`t wear pants , they wore robes , much like what the women wore

  And for that matter women wore clothing that matched men`s attire.

  Did their dress glorify GOD ?........... Did it offend GOD ?

  I don`t see any scriptures that say one thing or another., why does the WT /GB ,see the need to go beyond what the scriptures say .

  SSSHHEEESHH......... talk about stupidity ....are they for real ? Bringing this subject up in the 21st Century ?

  If you click on the article (top one ) and click on Emily Thornton , you have her email contact and go from their.

  Many newspapers have a Letters to the Editor section where you can have your say about something they have published

  otherwise you can just look up the Newspaper in the phone book and contact them , their are multiple ways of contacting newspapers and TV studios , Radio stations , as well , when you want your voice heard.

  Even if it isn`t , your concern , made to print ,or acknowledged by the TV studio , or does not come to air on Radio , those institutions , Newspapers ,TV studios , Radio ,etc , have been made aware of your concern or gripe.

  The more people do it the more it will have an effect in the media

  It`s like the squeaky gate is the one that gets oiled .

  We have to bombard the media ,Radio ,Television ,Newspapers with our concerns about the Jehovah`s Witnesses /WTB&TS as regards their public image that they project against the reality of broken families , shunning of family members even children who have been baptized , etc.
