  It`s been over 130 years since the first Watchtower was printed with new light on the scriptures , that Christendom did not have. The International Bible Students had the answers .

  With every failed prophecy ,expectation ,evident reality , not eventuating ,it was passed off as new light emerging.

  With Jesus being enthroned as King in the Heavens in 1914 , you would think things would get better ?

  So they changed their name to Jehovah`s Witnesses , did they perform any better ?

  No , sorry , with over 100 years of Christ Jesus reign nothing much has really changed..

  They keep changing what they really believe , they are worse than politicians , but at least politicians keep some core beliefs.

  If that`s all he could accomplish in his first hundred years ,I`m not waiting around for the next 900 years of no results.

  by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

  Not meaning to be a naysayer , but , could many posters be just wishful thinkers here ?

  Has any court in America ever taken down , or gone head to head with an established religion? and won ?

  Like it or not Jehovah`s Witnesses are an established bona-fide religion in the USA

  What does the American Constitution /Amendments say about religious freedom in America and how that is protected.

  I think the courts , from Civil to Supreme are very dubious about tackling religious organizations.

  Thats just my 2 cents worth , sorry , but I think I`m being a realist in this case , as much as I would love to see the WTB&TS go down ,

  Nobody at work knows what JWs believe

  recently susie, one of my co-workers mentioned that her husband's family were all jws.

  the family converted after susie's husband left home, so he never joined the jws, nor does he intend to.

  anyway another co-worker asked her: "what do the jws believe?".

  The sad fact is most Jehovah`s Witnesses don`t know what they believe.

  And how could they when they keep changing their stance on things all the time .

  Talk about moving the goal posts .UGH

  Do a survey on the block where you live and I guarantee 99.9% of those surveyed would not have a clue , nor would they care ,what JW`s believe ,and the 0.1% that does know something have it screwed up anyway.

  Come to think of it I dont think Jehovah can keep up with what JW`s currently believe.

  Maybe a campaign of some sorts , showing that the organization is hypocritical of being law abiding ,

  Not being in subjection to the superior authorities , Rom 13 : 1 -5

  Giving back caesar`s things to caesar .( except , when it`s not in their interest to do so).

  Being hailed before the courts to give a witness and then failing to do so .

  we have had zero religious discussions for two years.

  the last discussion ended with ,"you have no beliefs, no personal beliefs, because you change your "beliefs" when the wtbts writes an article.

  It`s a pity you cant sit down with your wife and watch the videos of the Australian Royal Commission in sections and discuss like mature adults together what you have just seen , without being judgmental one way or the other.

  The pathetic performances by the Elders giving testimony alone should be enough to ring alarm bells.

  G.Jackson`s statement when asked whether JW`s were the only ones that had the "truth" , his reply was "that would be presumptuous of me to say that " ( another lie)

  1006 sexual abuse investigations against children , over 50 years and not 1 Elder reported it to the authorities , all handled by a JC in the congregation ,that requires 3 Elders , so that means their were 3018 Elders who failed to report a crime of sexual abuse against a child to the authorities in over 50 years.

  What if that was your child , how would you feel today.?

  On another tact show her Google:Crimes committed by JW`s ,every crime that has been committed has been done by JW`s. /Her stock answer would be : If they committed those crimes they were not really Jehovah`s Witnesses .

  Your answer would be ,

  So their are no Catholics in Prisons either ,because if they really committed their crimes they were not really Catholics.

  I`m not in your shoes DD ,I`m just putting this out their on this format for all to see how I feel on this subject.

  blocks and blocks of tents, card board boxes, hundreds of homeless people with.

  a look of desperation on their faces.

  ,I wonder if the WT would take that on as an investment in growth in the organization .replacing the banished Bethelites with homeless people.?

  Seriously though , that really is thinking outside the box and is to be applauded , their are people who find themselves in situations like this " being homeless" simply because of circumstances of life , making a wrong decision here or there , and then life spiraling downhill out of control.

  As for JW`s wanting them in their midst ,? you gotta be kidding. They don`t fit their I MAGE .

  we need to examine the earliest known descriptions of the kind of crucifixion adopted by the romans and the specific terms they used to refer to it.

  apparently the society believes that crux still meant "stake" in the second century a.d., when tacitus composed his annals.

  Using the depression card: Only when critical to family?

  i just was reading a thread and it occurred to me that "using" depression as a way to deflect from wt obligations is a mistake.

  it feeds their sense of superiority-because when you do finally leave or get kicked out, they will say how leaving jehovah ruins lives.

  they won't do anything with you anymore in any case, but why feed their delusions?.

  No doubt you have good intentions with your proposal but really ? Having a get together with JW`s and they wont /cant talk about religion ? Pigs will fly before that happens .

  And if you are a person who is irregular at the meetings/field service you would be " marked" as a person not to associate with , not being spiritual enough.

  You state , { crow about the " joy of living in this glorious world GOD created for us" } ?

  Jehovah`s Witnesses don`t live in the now , they live for the future paradise ,this world is coming to an end ,it is controlled by Satan the Devil .And they pray for it`s destruction ,along with millions of humans .

  They are not interested in this world as it is , they are focused on the "New World " that is coming.
