I Don't Care If It Is A Cult ???

You could ask him to show you " THE SCRIPTURE" that says humans will inherit an " earthly paradise" ?

No such scripture exists. JW`s can only refer to scriptures that they give their OWN INTERPRETATIONS too ..

When Jesus said to the person on the stake next to him "you will be with me in paradise" it could only mean ,a heavenly paradise , , why?

Simply because Jesus was never going to reside in an earthly paradise .He was going to heaven to rule not here on earth. Once he ascended to heaven that was it , he was not coming back to earth. And the person next to him was going to be with him in heaven in paradise.

I hope he reflects on his statement' I dont care if it is a cult' He might as well have said "I`m going to keep my head in the sand " or ' I`ll keep my head stuck up my arse " I choose to remain ignorant.

How do you reason with people like that

And yet the scripture says "Come let us reason together " Just another example of where they cherry pick the scriptures to suit themselves.

PM Cameron hasn`t resigned yet , it`s still in the future whether he does or not remains to be seen.

So what`s all the hallabaloo about ?

What if the vote to leave is not acted upon ?

What if PM Cameron decides not to quit ?

Both are viable options.

Nobody at work knows what JWs believe

recently susie, one of my co-workers mentioned that her husband's family were all jws.

the family converted after susie's husband left home, so he never joined the jws, nor does he intend to.

anyway another co-worker asked her: "what do the jws believe?".

Many years ago their was a couple of articles in the watchtower , I believe , about an organization built on a chief cornerstone , a foundation stone ,and it attacked the Roman Catholic Church as not having been built on a chief cornerstone. ( maybe around the 1960`s ? )

And it concluded somewhat that if it was not built on a chief cornerstone , a foundation stone it would collapse.

Has the " International Bible Students Association" /"Jehovah`s Witnesses" / the " WTB&TS " been built on a firm foundation ? a Chief Cornerstone ? Charles Taze Russell ? and the International Bible Students Association ?

Does the Governing Body today even believe anything C.T.Russell believed and taught in his lifetime ?

I dont think so.And remember he was prolific in his sermons and material he distributed in the western world.

They try to dis-associate themselves from their past , and when they do acknowledge something they put a new spin on it , not admitting their past mistakes ,giving it a new interpretation , hiding the original intent.

What other organization is ashamed / embarrassed / wants to hide their early beginnings from the truth.?

How many Jehovah`s Witnesses know, or even want to know about their origins ? NONE

Their excuse ? that`s old light !, what they are really saying is , it is all based on falsehood., it was not true.

Is GOD a GOD of order or disorder ? Does he give false information first , then more mis-information , year ,after year ? to what is now over 100 years ? and still the ultimate truth is not forthcoming ?

And where is Jesus Christ in all of this , isn`t he the King of Kings ? The High priest ? yet after 100 years I have yet to see what he has accomplished that another religion cant claim as the same thing that has happened in their religion.

Let`s face it Jehovah`s Witnesses don`t know what they believe.

Your sitting in the middle section of a bus ,most seats are taken except their is an empty seat next to you,someone gets on the bus and starts walking up the aisle towards you " Oh no I hope he/she keeps going past my seat , oh God no , dont look at the vacant seat next to me , keep going ...keep going..

He /she then passes you and goes to the back of the bus.

He/she passed my vacant seat , what the hell? ... whats wrong with sitting next to me ? Has he/she got a problem with me ? Geeeez some people.

Millennial hopes?

it's been a long time since i was in, so please school me on this subject.

if, in wt teaching, jesus took over his "kingdom" in 1914, doesn't that mean that in wt world view, that the millennium is more than 100 years gone already?

if the last 102 years is a foretaste of his power, then eternity is looking more interesting than i anticipated..

Well by my calculations you are of course right .

Jesus Christ was to rule for 1000 years , and if his rule started in 1914 , then 102 years have already past.

So what the heck has he been doing ? Nothing from what I can see. Can you point to anything ?

Lets put it another way , if the next 900 years of Jesus Christ Rule is anything like the first 100 years then current politicians of this world puts Jesus Christ to shame , at least the politicians do get some things right.

How many flip flops , changes in interpretations of scripture , nu -lite ,old -lite , back to nu-lite , re-adjustments ,

clarifications ,refinements , etc,etc, can JESUS make instructing the Governing Body in his first 100 years .?

It certainly doesn`t build any confidence in me about his leadership.

I think he should be sacked

Actually , it doesnt say much about the guy who recomended him for the job either.

And how come Jesus Christ never gets a mention here , isn`t he the King that`s been ruling since 1914 ? why is Jehovah getting all the credit.?

For something that Satans system accomplished ?

Oh , that`s right Christ Jesus hasn`t accomplished anything in his 100+ years of Kingly Rule has he.

Either Jehovah is a bad CEO for appointing Jesus Christ as King/Ruler.

It`s been over 130 years since the first Watchtower was printed with new light on the scriptures , that Christendom did not have. The International Bible Students had the answers .

With every failed prophecy ,expectation ,evident reality , not eventuating ,it was passed off as new light emerging.

With Jesus being enthroned as King in the Heavens in 1914 , you would think things would get better ?

So they changed their name to Jehovah`s Witnesses , did they perform any better ?

No , sorry , with over 100 years of Christ Jesus reign nothing much has really changed..

They keep changing what they really believe , they are worse than politicians , but at least politicians keep some core beliefs.

If that`s all he could accomplish in his first hundred years ,I`m not waiting around for the next 900 years of no results.

by dorian hargrove, june 24, 2016. a san diego superior court judge has ordered the church of jehovah's witnesses, also known as the watchtower bible and tract society of pennsylvania, to pay $4000 a day for every day that it fails to produce documents requested in a civil lawsuit brought by former parishioner, osbaldo padron, who claims a church elder sexually abused him when he was seven years old.. in a june 23 ruling, expected to be made final today, judge richard strauss admonished the church for willfully ignoring a court order to produce all documents associated with a 1997 body of elders letter that church leaders sent to parishes around the world in a quest to learn about sexual abuse of children by church leaders.. over the course of the past year, the watchtower society and its lawyers have fought hard to keep the letter confidential, claiming that turning over the documents would infringe on the privacy of those mentioned in the letter that were not associated with the case.. in march 2015, the church turned over a heavily redacted version of the letter.

Has any court in America ever taken down , or gone head to head with an established religion? and won ?

Like it or not Jehovah`s Witnesses are an established bona-fide religion in the USA

What does the American Constitution /Amendments say about religious freedom in America and how that is protected.

I think the courts , from Civil to Supreme are very dubious about tackling religious organizations.

Thats just my 2 cents worth , sorry , but I think I`m being a realist in this case , as much as I would love to see the WTB&TS go down ,
