I remember going to a convention in the 1960`s in Bendigo where a baptism was held in a lake , not a tub.

Jw's and beards
by wannaexit inwithout going into details.
it appears that new light might be coming down the pipes that beards are acceptable.

Illustrations in the WT publications always show Jehovah , Jesus , Angels , and the 144000 as all having beards, even though many of the 144000 are women.

If that doesn`t ring a red flag to a practicing Jehovah`s Witness as to what a cult is I don`t know what will.
That is embarrassing beyond belief.
If I was still a member of this religion , I would be ashamed at the antics displayed at this convention by Elders ? ministerial Servants ? responding to a person objecting to their beliefs.
In the old days they just turned a blind eye and ignored it , and it went away .
This video has just highlighted how cultish the Jehovah`s Witnesses are in their response to those who differ from their point of view.

Hello Everyone
by Mozzie inhoping this is the right section..... my story so far,,,.
hello everyone, i have been reading a lot on what most jws would say apostate websites, but i have been asking myself, how much of this s true and considering a lot of these are run by ex jw elders, bethalites and one who was with the gb at one stage, overseers and the like.
i was an unbaptized publisher many years ago but never got to the point of baptism as i fell into sin, that pretty much ended my attending meetings again.

Mozzie , ask yourself these questions . If God so loved the world he gave his only begotten son....etc.etc. John 3:16
Why did Jesus only speak to the Jewish people ? His ministry , starting at 30 years of age mind you was only to Jews.
What was the Son of God doing for the first 29 years of his life ?
He certainly wasn`t concerned about the religious or otherwise state of mankind. ( nothing to worry about here )
{ Jehovah`s Witness children are taken door to door in strollers before they can even walk and are expected to continue going D2D when they can walk and talk giving a witness }
Jesus Christ obviously didn`t think he had anything worthy to say to the rest of mankind for future prosperity simply because he never recorded anything down himself.
At least Moses supposedly wrote the first five books of the Bible , Jesus ? None , Zilch ,.
Doesn`t that make us wonder ?

It never ceases to amaze me how some women are attracted to convicted criminals become ,convinced of their innocence ,start up a relationship somehow , and end up marrying their prey.
Think about it , the person in jail is not in a good position , emotionally .He/she is in a vulnerable state.
Whether he/she is innocent or guilty matters not
The incarcerated person will bond with the person who is sympathetic to his / her cause , and a communication dialogue will transpire which can lead to an eventual intimate relationship.
Their must be a study done sometime why this is so .

Jesus (if he exists) has a heart of stone - a saga about the hurt of children in his church.
by fulltimestudent injesus is supposed to care for little children.
mark 10 is often quoted to illustrate his concern.. mark 10:13-16niv.
the little children and jesus13 people were bringing little children to jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them.

I wonder just how many physical assaults / sexual assaults against children by Jehovah`s Witness parents or guardians occur each year world wide , that come to the law enforcement / child protection authorities .
I would include denying a life saving blood transfusion to a minor in that catergory.
My guess it would be quite substantial .
