  not too sure how long it will be, but i think that i will not be in a position to look at this site.. i met some cool friends on here.

  i enjoyed having the speedy access to the private correspondence before the elders.

  thanks atlantis, and all those that have had a share in this.

  i was an elder in the 1970's and i was not a big fan of the "stay alive until 75" dogma.

  i was looked down upon by the heavy hitters on the body of elders and in time i changed my mind.

  i knew of the failed prophecy of 1914 being the end of all times which was repeated for the year 1925...yet i came to believe well maybe this time they've got it right.. with every new watchtower, i combed over every word to find support for my change in my belief that the end was coming in fall of 1975. at the district assembly in 1975, everyone clung onto every word in the final talk.

  The Jehovah Witness religion have no clergy ,so their is no confidentiallity broken , right ?

  Their are 3 Elders in a Judicial Committee plus witnesses , and then it all is forwarded to the Legal Department of the local branch Office in whatever country it`s held , and then sent on to headquarters in the United States Of America , where it is also viewed by lawyers.

  Clergy Penitent does not apply here..

  Every time I see one of them loving their kids, I think....

  every time i see photos of new jw parents cuddling up to their new babies.. every time i see people giving the parents new baby cards & gifts.. every time i see them having fun with their children.. i think to myself; 'you would shun your kids' .

  if they don't end up being jw's.

  if they simply publicly declare that they don't believe.

  It is hard to understand isn`t it.

  A people who claim to believe in a God of Love , yet fail to follow through with it themselves in practice with their own offspring , their own flesh and blood.

  Jehovah`s Witness parents who disown their own children simply because they no longer want to be under the dictates of the Governing Body

  fit the description in Rom.1:31 " THEY HAVE NO NATURAL AFFECTION "

  They need to have a good look in the mirror and ask themselves ,

  What have I become to act this way against my own child.

  Speaking of the Elder arrangement CC , I seem to recall that The "Aid To Bible Understanding " was released about that same time yet the subject of Elder was not in it.

  It puzzled me a lot back then.

  i was alerted to the presence of jws in my street, so i grabbed my voice recorder and placed it by the front door.

  several minutes later there was a knock, i pressed "record" and opened the door to two jw women.

  the recording below runs for 25 minutes.

  Thanks for that Mr Monroe , it was an interesting recording.It`s always hard to know off the cuff what are the best questions to put to JW`s when they unexpectedly call at your door

  However , you did well , and as you said caught them out with some evasiveness

  I don`t know that i would have agreed with them about the Trinity. Genesis says that adam and Eve would have become like us , Who was he referring to ? and with the KI translation of the Christian Greek Scriptures in John 1:1 the word for word translation by the WT " In the beginning was the word and the word was God." not " a" God

  I know it`s alright for me to say this in hindsight , how good would I have done been put on the spot.? not good.

  One last thing is John 3:16 , a well known scripture that often gets overlooked

  "For God LOVED the WORLD so much that he gave his only begotten son in order that EVERYONE EXERCISING FAITH in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life " NWT

  And Jehovahs Witnesses do not have the monopoly on Gods Love. God loved the WORLD of MANKIND not only/just Jehovah`s Witnesses.

  Splanes talk speaks volumes to me. Their is no Holy Spirit ,Jehovah`s direction , or any input from the King Of Kings , Jesus Christ in any of their new light revelations .

  And has not ever been for the past 140 years.

  What he is saying is that a bunch of guys get together , using there own brain to rationalise the scriptures to fit their failed past directions/explanations where the scriptures should lead us , to the new interpretation of those same scriptures making sure that they don`t conflict with our previous directions /explanations of those scriptures we made.

  Holy Spirit , Divine revelations ,Angelic direction , has nothing at all to do with New Light announcements .

  They are no different from any other Organised Religion Christian or otherwise .
