I havent read all these previous posts sadly , maybe i will get around to it, however doesnt whatever they say in print such as the Watchtower or Awake magazines have any bearing on this issue ?
Surely they have to be accountable for what they print in theses magazines .

The WT, Creation of man occured in over 4000 years Bc
The Wt said 6000 years would end in 1975 ( after readjusting those dates from the late 1800s )
And Christ jesus rule was to be for 1000 years would be an appropiate time for him to take his reign in 1975 for his 1000 year reign
That was the feeling back their in the 1970`s- 80`s

And the founder of IBSA/Jehovahs Witnesses Charles Taze Russell , that 1914 would be the End of the World as we know it,
So modern day JW`s are now saying Donald Trump is their new hero to bring about mass destruction to the bulk of humanity ?

Proverbs 4:18 "light gets brighter"
by stuckinarut2 inwe are all familiar with the classic use by the society of proverbs 4:18 about "light getting brighter".
they say it applies to revealed truth, and doctrinal changes etc.. have you ever just read that chapter (and even the surrounding chapters) in full??.
it has nothing to do with doctrinal changes or teachings.. it has to do with acquiring wisdom and life skills in order to live a successful life.

by Crazyguy inin my area i'd guess 30% of the men maybe more have some kind of beard.
this craps gotta wake up somebody still in!.

I went to an assembly once sporting a well groomed beard , and I over- heard a couple of witness kids discussing my beard ,one said to the other "he must be a newly interested person "
It wasnt long after when the pressure came to bear to shave it off.
I havent shaved it off in the past 20+ years .
Some people die with their boots on
I`ll die with my beard on

1 Step Forward and 3 Steps Back: Trying to Get My Mom to See 'The Light' (Oh the Irony!)
by Sorry inrecently, my mother's been hounding me to do personal study (i think she's slowly realizing i'm becoming disillusioned with the organization and is trying to reign me back in).
i don't know what made me do this, but i decided to test the waters by challenging 'new light'.
she asked me what i learned in personal study, so i brought up organ transplants and the wt flip floppy stance on them (thanks jwfacts!).

Welcome to the forum Sorry , It`s not just your mom ,also your father and sister who are blindsided by JW doctrine ,I feel for you Bro, it must be hard when they bury their head in the sand and cant see reason.
However you need to keep your sanity about all this , you cant change them with reason or logic , they have to come to this realisation in their own time,
You can just drop little gems of "truth" now and them for them to ponder over , and I say again , you cant change them ,so dont bang your head against a wall
Its a slow process waking someone up to the TTATT

New Religion where to look?
