  Different Types Of Abuse

  there is alot if press here in australua on the royal commission about child abuse in the jw faith.

  however that is just one type of abuse, abuse can be physical or mental, we tend to forget about the various types of mental abuse in the jw faith.

  my story is not unique and apologies for grammar etc.. my father and mother emigrated to perth australia many decades ago when i was very young.

  No blood ,no organ transplants Its cannalbalism, no jeans or sneakers at meetings ,brothers should wear a tie.

  No slacks to be worn by sisters either at meetings or field service,

  Even when your a visiting delegate at an international convention and are sightseeing before or after the meetings you should dress as you would for FS

  Thats just a few off the top of my head ,

  they elected a man who is quoted as saying that "terrorism is going to be part of daily life in france for years to come.

  In most western democracys this guy would have been seen as a victim of child sexual abuse when he was a teenager .

  Years later this woman marrys him ,turning her back on her then husband and children .

  He has no experience in politics and becomes president of France ? WTF ?

  Again from your previous posts after 16 years on this board you dont comply with numbers 2-6 .

  And I do appreciate you have your reasons for still participating in congregational activities in the JW religion for family reasons etc.which I am not aware of and have no business knowing .

  However I think you have to be careful with the topics you start lest they come back to bite you in the ass.

  Be free to get stuck into me if I`m out of line.

  I do believe you have your heart in the right place

  in reality my experience with the witnesses is that they really don't bother me or bother with me which suits me just fine....are you "bothered" by the witnesses at this point of your life?.

  I hardly ever see them and I have yet to see a cart in my area.Is the D2D work slackening off ?

  Admittedly I`m in a small community of about 6000 people ,which grows to about 60000 in peak holiday times.

  If I remember rightly their used to be about 80 publishers at the local KH ,I dont know what it is now ,I must find out.

  Jehovah intervened in Russia

  i saw the recent video that the borg put out about the trial in russia and how pleased the russian brothers were that a member of the gibbering booty, brother sanders, came to support them for six days.

  well, there was a one-day delay in the trial which enabled the russian witnesses to have the memorial in their kingdom halls.

  well, brother sanders was very quick to point out that it was very evident that jehovah intervened to enable the brothers to celebrate the memorial.

  To be a believer in the answerability of prayer, one has to be highly, highly selective - and willing to overlook the monumental failures of perhaps the most pressing prayers to have been uttered.

  So true steve2 ,that has always been a problem to me.the arguments the WT have provided is that Jehovah protects his organization and not necessarily individuals..

  My question would be WHY ? dont individuals count ? in Jehovahs eyes ? or are the rank and file fodder and expendable.?

  If Jehovah truly intervened in Russia wouldnt Vladimir Putin have chosen JW`s over the Russian Orthodox religion ? that he now has given his blessing to ? instead of banning them ?

  The Russian Orthodox Religion is gaining a popularity unprecedented in modern times thanks to V.Putin.

  Hardly something JW`s should be celebrating about in Russia.

  Yes, Jehovah's Witnesses select among what they want to emphasize and what they want to sweep under the carpet. They make a trial like that in Russia 200% to there advantage, but in Australia, they put cover on and is totally silent. This is not about if something has been going against them, everything has going against them in both cases, but the trial in Australia can not be angled to their advantage. There you can not get any sympathies from anyone, and they can not hide the underlying causes. Then the only way out is to be silent.

  I just saw a documentary on Vladimir Putin and his connection with the Russian Orthodox Church and their commitment to religious traditions

  It was very interesting ,it was by a theroux ? is he related to his brother louise theroux ? you know what/who I mean ,he has a series on TV ,sorry its late and I`m tired.

  Vladimir seems intent on restoring the Russian Orthodox Church to its previous position in Russian affairs.and of course they are more than happy to recieve this recognition.

  Is it just another example of how politicians use religion for their own ends ?

  Can the dead hear?

  the "what does the bible really teach?

  " book says we cannot speak to the dead (page 64) and that the dead do not hear (page 58) but on page 68 the book has jesus talking to a dead man and the dead man apparently hearing and responding.

  the same thing happens on page 69 when peter talks to a dead woman and the dead woman apparently hears and responds.
