“Tree of good and bad” means what?

if “tree of good and bad” were literal, it would mean adam and eve would know what is “good and bad” only after eating of that tree.

however, even before eating of it, they would think “it is good for us to eat of this tree” which means they are already endowed knowledge of “good and bad.” that means “tree of good and bad” is symbolic of something.. since religious organizations interpret this differently, each reader has to adopt his own conclusion.

for me it looks like this: one thinks of good and bad in relation to himself—if something is beneficial for him he would say it is good for him, and bad for him if it is not beneficial.

Wasnt this story about Adam and Eve written down by Moses some 2000+ years after the event ?

Why are we even discussing it as if it was a true historical event ? An eyewitness account ?

Was Jehovah asleep for the first two thousand years ? and didnt have anybody on call to record it ?

If Jehovah God felt that this information about Creation was so important for humans to know about and he saw fit to have i included in the Bible why wasnt it recorded at the time it ocurred ? by an eyewitness or somebody close to being an eyewitness.?

Maybe even by Adam himself ? after all he did live for 930 years didnt he ? Wouldnt it have more weight if Adam had recorded it in writing ?

It makes you wonder doesnt it ?

Jehovahs Witnesses shun their children and other JW children shun their parents .

Jehovahs Witness parents sacrifice their childrens life with the NO Blood Policy at the Governing Bodys direction.

Lifelong friendships are conditional on your staying in the religion ,if you leave they will shun you.

The widespread lack of love and affection resulting in the death of children ?

All you have to do is look at the religion of Jehovahs Witnesses ,its all there.

How many JWs would Disassociate if their were no family sanctions?

I would be more inclined to think anywhere between 10% and 25% no more.So many older Jw`s have invested so many years in this religion with time and money and their participation in it , they are not going anywhere

.Pride is also keeping a lot of people in.And so is self esteem ,how many want to admit they have been duped all these years and then admit its just not true.? Not many

And i think it is surprising how many leave the religion over the years yet the religion never leaves them and something happens in the world or their life and they jump straight back into the religion.

Not only have they never made the "truth" their own they have never proved to themselves that the JW religion is anything but the truth.

They are what I would call the LAZY believers usually born ins who drop in and out over many years actually fence sitters . ,those that the bible identifies as those who are like corks tossed about by the seas not knowing what they believe and accepting whatever their Elder tells them.

Thats why I say between 10% and 25% but definetely no more.

Satan is the God of this system of things 2Cor.4:4 "Blinding the minds of the unbelievers".

However

The superiour authorities of this world are by Jehovahs arrangement and to go against it is to go against Jehovah

Rom.chapt.13 Vs 4 "for it is gods minister to you for your good but if you are doing what is bad be in fear for it is not without purpose that it bears the sword for it is Gods minister an avenger "

5 "There is therefore compelling reason for you people to be in subjection" to the Superiour authorities .

Even though Satan is the God of this system of things and blinding the mind of the unbelievers / the superiour authorities are by Jehovahs arrangement and to go against it is to go against Jehovah.

Are you confused ? Does that make any sense at all ? doesnt one cancel out the other ?

such as "if your child is disfellowshipped then you can't have contact with them ever again".

The WTB&TS / Jehovahs Witness religion is ashamed of its beginnings under their former name of the IBSA /the International Bible Students Association.

Why do I claim that you ask ?

Because they re-write their early history ,falsifying what they published in the days they were IBSA , when they write about their early days now as Jehovahs Witnesses

Any organization , religious or secular that "doctors" changes facts about its early history with the obvious intent to mislead those that may have an interest in their early beginnings should question why they should do such a thing.

Why are they ashamed, embarrassed about their early history.?

Why are they being dishonest about their early history ?

If they are embarrassed about what they believed back then and published it ,if they are ashamed about what they believed back then and published it,and if they are now re-writing their early history and publishing it ,

Why would /should we believe anything they say now or in the future ?

They are obviously liars who cant be trusted with anything they say.

No princesess in new order? Really??

a couple of months ago this crazy gb member via video gave a talk about their would be princes in the new order but no princesses.

i thought that was so funny.

especially after he beated around the bush the whole talk, finally saying in the last sentence their would be princes but no princesses in the new system,then the video just blacked out.

If their are any of the annointed in Heaven that were females here on earth they now all have beards ,just check out any WT illustration depicting those in heaven.

And if their is no gender in heaven why have they all got beards.

If King of North/South was true, would it be about Islam?

reading it in daniel 11, especially towards the end, 11:40-45, if king of the north would be christianity/usa/jews(if they do control usa), and king of the south, islam.

in those end the king of the south is mainly an irritant.

not much power, and the king of the north has big armies and power, so overtakes the middle east.

Time and unforseen occurrences befall us all Bad Wolf ,or is it coincidence ?the God of this system of things throwing us a curve ?surely its not "true prophecy ,what he fortells comes to be"?

Or maybe its the" British Israelites" or the" Worldwide Church of God" the" PlainTruth" magazine or any number of other" EndTime" religions that all have similar themes that sprung up towards the end of the 18th Century.

A number of religions believe in the literal fullfillment of the Jews returning to Israel/Jerusalem however JW`s dont they see it as symbolic a spiritual interpretation is given to those prophecys.

One other thing that came to my mind about this story.

According to the Bible Jehovah god created all things relating to the garden of Eden right ? So he must have also gave the snake the power to talk/communicate with Eve ?

If Satan gave the snake the power to talk/communicate with Eve he must have been on an equal footing with Jehovah ,as Jehovah said to his peers "the man has become like one of us" Gen.3:22

That is also a good point dogisgood ,thats what my teenage son would say to me many years ago the tree of life is the one Eve should have eaten from.

it does not mention jws, but perfectly aligns with them.

it is put in a manner that would make some understand why jws are considered a cult.
