by silentbuddha ini just got a call from a friend who said that something in last weeks watchtower caused a number of people in various congregations to start questioning things, and several long time elders left.
i am totally out of the loop but i do read things here and i heard of no such thing.. something to the effect that jw's and governing boobies are not inspired or something along those lines?.

A retraction and apology - I posted incorrect information.
by doubtfull1799 init was recently brought to my attention by the person who was with me on the carts at the time, that a comment i made six months ago about the cart work on this forum was incorrect.
i apologise and in the interests of honesty and accuracy i feel it is only right to issue a public retraction.
i have quoted the post in question below as i am not sure how to correct or delete the original.

Just A Thought Regarding The Bunker Video
by pale.emperor inas ridiculous as the bunker video was, a few things popped into my consciousness as i was riding the train today.
firstly, why did they go to all the expense and effort to not only create a bunker, but to furnish it like a living room complete with coffee table, armchair, shelves etc?
i mean, a bunker should be a bunker... boxes of tinned food, tools, medical supplies, emergency gear etc.

Good points waton ,it makes you wonder where GOD is with man`s acheivements and otherwise this century such as :
Men walking on the moon on six seperate ocassions .
Building Nuclear bombs and using them on two Cities killing hundreds of thousands of humans.
Not to mention the developement of other weapons of mass destruction
Sending sattelites into deep space ,compare that to humans building the tower of Babel ?
After 100 years of JC rule at least a third if not more than 1/3rd of humans have never heard of or been wtnessed to by a JW in their lifetime.
And their is no indication they ever will be witnessed to .
And free will ? LOL

The difference here being , one ,Disney etc, is promoted as a fairy tale a story not to be taken literal .
However the other :
My Book Of Bible Stories is portrayed as being history and actual fact that is going to befall humankind because of what has occured beforehand and will occur again as fullfilled bible prophecy
And is stated as the word of GOD ,putting the fear of God in children.
Jehovahs Witnesses used to accuse the RC Church of putting the fear of God into believers saying they will burn in hell if they didnt follow the catholic churches teachings.
Jehovahs Witnesses are no different they put the fear of God in them that they will suffer everlasting death if they dont obey the Governing Body members /the faithful and discreet slave that they claim they are,

ANGOLA - JW Regional Convention target of attack.
by EdenOne inaccording to news sources in luanda, angola (read it here, although it's in portuguese language), a regional convention of the jw's taking place this weekend at the outskirts of capital luanda was targeted yesterday, friday, by what may be described as a 'terrorist attack'.. more than 400 attendees (mostly female) passed out in rapid succession in the vicinity of a toilet at the convention place.
reportedly, toxic gas devices were planted there by 3 young members of unita, the main political party that opposed mpla, the dominant regime party in angola since its independence in 1975.
43 people were rushed to the hospital and a few remain there, under medical surveillance.

If Jehovahs Witnesses ever thought that since Jesus Christ is ruling from the heavens since 1914, 103 years now ,they would be protected from whatever happens in this world ,they have a wake up call.
Jehovahs witnesses are no more protected than anybody else from extemist .terroist, or anybody else who wants to target you either individually or as a group.
I guess the KH`s will fill to overflowing in this region for the next few months now.

Regional Assembly Violence
by Iamallcool induring a regional assembly, there was an incident when subjects suddenly invaded the assembly venue, spraying toxic gas and even hitting some brothers!..
the police and the fire department arrived at the call and arrested some of these violent subjects.
there are no reports of any death, more if several people who were affected by the gases.. let us pray for our beloved brothers so that they can be strong and courageous and regain their joy.. we know things are progressing from bad to worse, but we are also sure that we have the lord on our side!

why jw's commit suicide?
by notalone inwe all know the rate of suicide is high among jw's.
my question is this- was there some subliminal messages that encourage this.
i was a born in and my entire life i would have these thoughts that could come out of nowhere,"kill yourself.

I just wish we could ask them this question now and also ask them if they regret the decision they made .
I knew one JW who did the deed and also a non JW workmate who also did the deed.
The workmate was the one that had such an effect on me as he seemed so happy and jovial
I was also so upset when I heard a poster on here who comitted suicide ,I didnt know him personally and had never met him ,but I cried.
Its such a sad tragic thing to happen and I just dont understand / fathom it.
"Time" is what makes the most unbearable thing bearable in the long run , if one just gives it enough "time"

the closest I ever got to University was selling the Herald newspaper in the grounds of Melbourne University in Carlton Aust.when i was about 12 or 13 years old.a lifetime ago.

JWs MUST Accept The Watchtower Teachings EVEN When They Are Wrong!
by minimus inisn't it unbelievable that a jehovah's witness must accept whatever the organization says or they can be disfellowshipped??
unless they tell you that their understanding has changed, you cannot believe anything unless they say it's ok. .
many years ago i questioned them about their ridiculous view that whenever the word "heart" was mentioned, it was a literal blood filled organ.
