It was actually doing the rounds in the early 1960`s that buzzards were then laying two eggs instead of the normal one.A sure sign that armageddon was imminent.
in the last two years we have seen many changes in the watchtower - a few are listed below.
what are your thoughts concerning the movement and direction of jehovah's witnesses for 2010 and beyond?.
doctrinal changes:.
I wouldn`t be at all surprised to see them introduce tithing

is this girl really a jw, and what will happen to her in her congregation after this.............. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baeepruo1go.
When I was an active witness jw`s were counselled against being competitive and our children discouraged from participating in competetive sports, and I think that is generally still the same policy unless of course you are a high profile sportsperson with big bucks$$$$$.different horses for different courses. And of course they will play down the "F" word x 3 profanity, and the "kill"threat as a human outburst under xtreme pressure of the moment.Just another example of hipocrisy from the gov.body of jw`s.

Jesus Christ !!!!!
the mind just boggles
I`m sorry..... i`m just blown away by this thread
Particulary the title of the new melody "The Beauty of Grey Headedness" My mother in law is 87 yrs old (not a Jw) her married daughter was for many yrs then faded. She now has a grown up daughter with two sons,in the "truth" 12 & 8 yrs old respectively. My sister in law recently seperated from her hubby (he was never a jw) but had liasions with other women during their marriage.Just prior to this yrs. memorial myS.I.L.was approached by Her daughter with the invitation to go to the mem.using the mag.It highlighted how family relationships were so important, and this section was underlined. My sister in law seperated from her hubby and moved into a house ,8 houses away from her daughter(a jw) Did she or her husband offer her assistance to move in???NO In the 3 months she`s been their have they visited her ??NO Has her grand children been allowed to visit her??? NO Has the JW daughter ever visited her Grandmother ?? NO she`s only a couple of k`s away.Do my sister in laws children see their great grand mother?? Remember their 12 & 8 yrs old and their grandmother is 87 yrs old NO they do not visit their grandmother or their great grandmother
The hipocricy of this religion is .... unbeleivable
I`m ashamed to have ever been a part of it

i often wondered about this when i first started questioning things.. .
any jw that has died in decades past, how are they even eligible for ressurection?
during the time in which they died, they were never taught "the truth", as everything changed.. any jw today, looking forward to armageddon coming tomorrow, isn't being taught "the truth" either, as will be made manifest by more doctrinal change.
The bible ,as christendom has it today (allowing for catholic/protestant differences) has not changed in two thousand years!!!!However the Watchtower interpretation of what the bible means is changed every couple of years.....No witness today beleives much of what C.T Russell preached for decades,....No witness today beleives much of what J.F Rutherford preached for decades,.....No witness today beleives much of what N.H Knorr preached for decades.....,and a few more years hence no witness then will beleive much of what is preached today as being relevant or true.,What jehovah`s witnesses fail to understand is ....truth never changes....their is no such thing as ...OLD TRUTHS...or ...NEW TRUTHS...either something is True or it is False .You Jehovah`s Witnesses who come on this site do yourself a favour and research what Jehovah`s` witnesses preached from the 1800 s / to the 1930s and look at what was actually printed and not what the WB&TS SPIN OF THE DAY IS. The WTB&TS is the most prolfic publishing agency of religous literature in the history of man,a great acheivment ,so their are many many records ,documents, copies, original publications to verify the many numerous changes to Wathtower policies over the years, and I would think that every one on this site would just ask ....do yourself a favour .... use your God diven brain and think for yourself.....that`s why Jehovah gave you a brain....Think for yourself.

tens of thousands of jehovah's witnesses meet in france(afp) 43 minutes ago.
paris tens of thousands of jehovah's witnesses gathered on saturday in cities across france for an annual international gathering, the religious movement said.. about 150,000 flocked to meetings with the main gathering in villepinte, in the paris region, attracting 50,000 followers.. several hundred jehovah's witnesses were baptised by being immersed in water during the event, which lasts the whole weekend.. those baptised were adults, following the example of christ.. jehovah's witnesses consider themselves the heirs of a primitive form of christianity.. their beliefs are strongly based on the text of the bible and they consider modern christian churches to have deviated from the book's true teachings.. followers reject the ideas of modern evolutionary theory and refuse blood transfusions.. they are perhaps best known for preaching on doorsteps, where they offer religious literature and attempt to convert people.. the movement emerged towards the end of the 19th century in the united states and arrived in france in 1906.. there are more than seven million jehovah's witnesses worldwide and around 150,000 in france.. the group's status varies from country to country.
they are given the same recognition as mainstream religions in austria and germany but are classed as a "recognised cult" in denmark.. in france, some of their branches have the status of "religious association" but the movement was also mentioned in a 1995 parliamentary report on sects.. google_ad_section_end(name=article) copyright 2009 afp.

growing up in the troof, my mom used to tell me that no one else in the universe had the name jehovah.
i remember her even recounting an experience where a catholic couple wanted to name/baptize their son jehovah and the priest counselled against it.
now i see all sorts of people with the name jehovah, on facebook, in the news and even in other languagues (the portuguese version jeova).

In the first edition of the "Aid Book" Jehovah was the most popular version of the name of God in useage (in christendom) If christendom used the
name Jehovah wouldnt they want to go for Yahweh ?? / as that is a more realistic pronunciation than Jehovah ("hebrew" never had j in their alphabet)
Maybe you have seen yahweh ben yahweh ?? Witnessese of yahweh? Google them for information
