Elder who taught at private school for JWs accused of abuse

When are the Elders who dont report these crimes , going to be charged with being complicit in a crime by not reporting it to the relevant authorities , whether it be the police or child protection services.

Elders seem to be getting away with this in one country after another , they are culpable and need to be brought to justice for not reporting these crimes against children.

What can we do to put pressure on Governments where we live to make Elders more accountable when they fail to report child sexual abuse within their congregations,

They seem to be escaping this punishment not only in Australia ,the UK , Europe , and the USA ,to name a few

and no doubt elsewhere ..

This is not good enough , we need to do something about it

Any suggestions ?

How come the Bible / Jehovah in all his wisdom , since he created us never mentions masturbation that occurs in either sex.?

Males get erections when their adolescents , not even teens , answer that Jehovah .? Why ?

4000 years of human history according to the Bible that contains murder , genocide , rape , incest ,theft ,adultery ,etc.etc,

Yet their is no mention in either the Hebrew scriptures or the Christian Greek Scriptures of the practice of masturbation , which has been going on since Adam was a boy . Oh and lets not forget Eve also and the female species that also engage in this practice when the need arises.

Yet their is no mention of it in the entire Bible , why not ?

It is a fact of life .

To UK members that go to meetings - did Brexit cause a spike in meeting attendance last weekend?

i went to the mid week meeting and looked at the attendance figures on the noticeboard for the three congregations that share the local kingdom hall.

i wrote down the three previous sundays attendances and this sunday (after the referendum) too.

cong c. (95 pubs) 74/82/73/90.

AA , that is so true It`s the ones that leave the" truth" but the" truth" never leaves them .

They are fence sitters ,or the ones who get blown this way or that way depending on the wind.

Not only have they never made the" truth" their own , they have never convinced themselves of it`s untruth.

Every disaster that occurs whether it is caused by humans or is a natural disaster , they flock back to the KH.to find out if it`s the GT or the big A. impending .

They are truly still victims of the cult mentality.even though they live most of their lives outside the Borg.

The 1975 Generation---are they still around?

i was raised as a jw and 1975 expectations were pretty intense.

as i recall, most people did not leave after the failed expectations but many s l o w e d down.

now, i think most of the 1975 witnesses are gone or barely in.. is the older generation still around in the kingdom halls or are they much gone?.

I was about 36 years old then and a MS., it had been building up since the publication of the book " Life Everlasting In Freedom Of The Sons Of God" ? pointing out that in their view 6000 years of mans existence would end in 1975.

Little did I know then that it was not the first time they had predicted the 6000 years ended at another date.

The organization spoke out both sides of their mouth at this time , they alluded to Jesus Christ taking up his power as the enthroned king and beginning his rule over earth being an appropiate time for him to do so , 6000 years of Satans rule and the 1000 years reign of Christ Jesus to follow.

Remember they had a 7000 years as a creative day back then ,6000 years under Satans rule and the last 1000 years under Christ Jesus rule., so it would be appropiate that Jesus Christ would take up his Kingly power in 1975.

Or close by to that date , they then said it could come earlier than 1975 or it could come after 1975 but it would not be years , it would only be a matter of months .

Then after the event had come and past they put the blame on the Rank & file for running ahead of themselves and jumping to wrong conclusions absolving themselves of any blame.

That was the first time I had a dint in my faith , but it still took many, many years before I spat the dummy.

My wife & I, my 2 boys ,my DIL , my SIL and her 2 kids , my nephew , my grandson ,are all free of the Borg.

Their is just one neice and her family who is still under the control of the Borg.

I Don't Care If It Is A Cult ???

shared a bit with my husband the other day about what i'd learned about cults.

how nearly (if not all) every box on the list gets checked for jw.

You could ask him to show you " THE SCRIPTURE" that says humans will inherit an " earthly paradise" ?

No such scripture exists. JW`s can only refer to scriptures that they give their OWN INTERPRETATIONS too ..

When Jesus said to the person on the stake next to him "you will be with me in paradise" it could only mean ,a heavenly paradise , , why?

Simply because Jesus was never going to reside in an earthly paradise .He was going to heaven to rule not here on earth. Once he ascended to heaven that was it , he was not coming back to earth. And the person next to him was going to be with him in heaven in paradise.

I hope he reflects on his statement' I dont care if it is a cult' He might as well have said "I`m going to keep my head in the sand " or ' I`ll keep my head stuck up my arse " I choose to remain ignorant.

How do you reason with people like that

And yet the scripture says "Come let us reason together " Just another example of where they cherry pick the scriptures to suit themselves.

The vote to leave is only just that at the moment ...a vote nothing more.

PM Cameron hasn`t resigned yet , it`s still in the future whether he does or not remains to be seen.

So what`s all the hallabaloo about ?

What if the vote to leave is not acted upon ?

What if PM Cameron decides not to quit ?

Both are viable options.

Nobody at work knows what JWs believe

recently susie, one of my co-workers mentioned that her husband's family were all jws.

the family converted after susie's husband left home, so he never joined the jws, nor does he intend to.

anyway another co-worker asked her: "what do the jws believe?".

Many years ago their was a couple of articles in the watchtower , I believe , about an organization built on a chief cornerstone , a foundation stone ,and it attacked the Roman Catholic Church as not having been built on a chief cornerstone. ( maybe around the 1960`s ? )

And it concluded somewhat that if it was not built on a chief cornerstone , a foundation stone it would collapse.

Has the " International Bible Students Association" /"Jehovah`s Witnesses" / the " WTB&TS " been built on a firm foundation ? a Chief Cornerstone ? Charles Taze Russell ? and the International Bible Students Association ?

Does the Governing Body today even believe anything C.T.Russell believed and taught in his lifetime ?

I dont think so.And remember he was prolific in his sermons and material he distributed in the western world.

They try to dis-associate themselves from their past , and when they do acknowledge something they put a new spin on it , not admitting their past mistakes ,giving it a new interpretation , hiding the original intent.

What other organization is ashamed / embarrassed / wants to hide their early beginnings from the truth.?

How many Jehovah`s Witnesses know, or even want to know about their origins ? NONE

Their excuse ? that`s old light !, what they are really saying is , it is all based on falsehood., it was not true.

Is GOD a GOD of order or disorder ? Does he give false information first , then more mis-information , year ,after year ? to what is now over 100 years ? and still the ultimate truth is not forthcoming ?

And where is Jesus Christ in all of this , isn`t he the King of Kings ? The High priest ? yet after 100 years I have yet to see what he has accomplished that another religion cant claim as the same thing that has happened in their religion.

Let`s face it Jehovah`s Witnesses don`t know what they believe.

Your sitting in the middle section of a bus ,most seats are taken except their is an empty seat next to you,someone gets on the bus and starts walking up the aisle towards you " Oh no I hope he/she keeps going past my seat , oh God no , dont look at the vacant seat next to me , keep going ...keep going..

He /she then passes you and goes to the back of the bus.

He/she passed my vacant seat , what the hell? ... whats wrong with sitting next to me ? Has he/she got a problem with me ? Geeeez some people.
