Why ex-JW's so knowledgeable when it comes to the Bible?

over the years here on this site i have found over half of the folks can hold their own with any minister.. why when we leave the borg we become proficient on any subject on the bible.. why did we go down that road?

my intention was to get close to jehovah (searching the bible), but i. guess i found lucifer.

i'am ask all the time, how did you go from a true believer to calling the bible a book.

I couldn`t agree more with the above posts. to come to the realisation you have been hoodwinked / decieved , by the WTB&TS , then you want to know how you could have been so duped , and then you investigate much more fully the source of your belief , the Bible .

And you realise the whole thing is a load of CROCK / BS .

And you wonder shaking your head how you could have ever believed it in the first place.

Why do so many JW's argue that they do not believe what they clearly do?

i ask a question recently, which was why do jw's not salute the flag, and i ask what page of the bible directs this practice.. all i got back was that i do not know what i am talking about and that they are allowed to do this, when i dropped 40000 google links proving that they do not salute the flag they just deleted it as though my proof could not exist.

seriously this is common knowledge, my neighbor just put up a flag to keep the guy across the street away.

so are there jw's who have no clue what they believe, or should believe?

Jehovah`s Witnesses do not know in a nutshell what they believe today .

I doubt very much if the average Jehovah`s Witness today knows what they believed in Charles Taze Russells day , Rutherfords day , or Knorrs day ,let alone Freddie Franz`s day

And most of them are clueless as to what they should be teaching today , am I keeping up with Jehovah`s chariot ? , it keeps changing so often.

The average Jehovah`s Witness is so very ignorant of their own historical beginings 102 years ago.

Any regrets whilst you were in the Org

the biggest regret i have is of 'shunning' persons who were disfellowshipped and for 'marking' ones deemed as bad association.. there's no way i can approach these people to ask them for forgiveness as i've emigrated to another country however, by this post i'd like it to be known..

When i was in my late teens early 20`s I joined a judo club , prior to my becoming involved with the witnesses .

I was involved with this club for about a year and thouroughly enjoyed my participation in the club.

Of course , it became a no no to continue on with my activities if I wanted to progress in the "truth"

I coulda been a contender !

Forgive me for being cautious about what is presented here as being up and above board.

Don`t take offence , you may have be taken advantage of , if it is genuine accept ,my apologies for being a skeptic.

Having been sucked in by the WTB&TS for over 33 years , you may appreciate my skeptism. , without validation from other sources.

And if it is correct and true as the video portrays then all potential Bible studys should view this video.

The glaring inequity between the 144,000 & the Great Crowd

there is a glaring inequity between the 144,000 & the great crowd (gc):.

the gc will experience:.

1. the great tribulation - a gruelling/horrifying time which has never occurred before.. 2. armageddon.. 3. a thousand years of “loving” molding and refinement.. 4. a second armageddon at the end of the thousand years.. the 144,000 will experience none of these things.. isn't it strange that the gc has to prove themself so much but the 144,000 don't???!!!

deegee , you could also add the glaring inequity between Satan and humans.

Look at the punishment meted out to Humans /Adam & Eve AND all their offspring down to you and me.

Not only death which was all that was mentioned in Genesis apart from Eves birthpangs in pregnancy and Adam dealing with weeds in the garden.

What wasn`t spelt out was all of the EXTRA suffering humans had to endure .

All of the diseases , debillitating illnesses ,undignified afflictions ,suffering of children under these circumstances ,old age , dementia , Alzheimers ,blindness , the list goes on and on.

In contrast what punishment did the instigator of the human failing get ? Zilch , Nothing in comparrison , nowhere near it.

Satan and supposedly all those who sided with him , could still have access to heaven , converse with GOD , and still have freedom to roam the earth creating more havoc among mankind for thousands of years to come down to our present time.

With none of the suffering experienced by humans from an angelic creature? who witnessed the creation !

Is that not a glaring inequity ? One that is far more glaring than the G.B. / 144000 ?

I`m sorry , I don`t mean to take away from your post , I think both points should be taken into account showing the scales of justice are heavily outweighed against humanity and that GOD is indeed partial.

I regret introducing my then GF/wife to this cult and bringing up my two sons in this poor excuse for a religion , when we all know now that they are/were primarily a Publishing / Real Estate enterprise that used religion to gain suckers.like you and me.
