still fighting my "doubts" and struggling internally, my family is active and the wife knows nothing of my late night website reads here.

Their is a reference in one of the links posted here that refers to Kerry Louderbacks " The Tort of Misrepresentation on Blood Transfusions " by Jehovah`s Witnesses ( or similar heading) and shows the deceptions carried out by JW`s G.B. on the blood issue. Well worth a read.
my new girlfriend asked me over dinner last night what jw's believe.
as i sat there explaining it i realized how ridiculous it sounds and was slightly embarrassed that i used to believe this crap for 31 years.. try and read this and imagine hearing it for the first time.... me: well... jw believe that god's name is jehovah and that his son is jesus christ.
they believe that jesus died on a stake and not a cross and that in the year 1914 he personally chosen the jw's as his one true religion.

mark 10 is often quoted to illustrate his concern.. mark 10:13-16niv.
the little children and jesus13 people were bringing little children to jesus for him to place his hands on them, but the disciples rebuked them.
How many children die before they reach the age of 10 years in the world today for whatever cause ,and have done so for thousands of years .
Of course his Father , the Almighty God , had no problem executing children along with their parents on numerous occassions , did he..... Like Father like Son.

The hypocricy of the G.B. knows no bounds. Next time you have an oppurtunity to talk with a JW , ask them the question as per OP , how they have two standards , one for the R&F and another for the G.B.
No doubt they will deny it as apostate lies that the media publishes .
Then bring up about the child sex scandals of the R.C.Church and they will believe everything the media says about it.
i start this thread in response to a comment by a jw apologist called simonsays on another thread.
he claimed to have read all three volumes of vindication by rutherford (my sympathy if true).
he further implied that it didn't matter that old jw literature said wrong and stupid things, saying:.
It may have been helpful to the flock when they brought out the book " Let Your Name Be Sacntified" that they had the right pronunciation of GOD`s name .
How could you sanctify his name if you don`t really know what his name is. Or vindicate it for that matter.
there is a glaring inequity between the 144,000 & the great crowd (gc):.
the gc will experience:.
1. the great tribulation - a gruelling/horrifying time which has never occurred before.. 2. armageddon.. 3. a thousand years of “loving” molding and refinement.. 4. a second armageddon at the end of the thousand years.. the 144,000 will experience none of these things.. isn't it strange that the gc has to prove themself so much but the 144,000 don't???!!!

Their are a number of scriptures that clearly show Satan and presumably the Demons as having access to both the heavens and the earth in tempting and misleading humans and the nations up until and including this century.

That`s just a few scriptures that show quite clearly that he has had free reign over earth and heaven to actively decieve and mislead humans as he did to Eve according to the Bible
Of course the Bible could be full of contadictions ,
can't believe it - gb is currently second in the medal table, with more golds and silvers combined than even china.
given the size of the nation it's an incredible achievement and we have won in some sports where other countries typically dominate.
i can't imagine we will stay in second but i am happy to enjoy the moment.. well done to the whole of team gb!.

two weeks ago while visiting a friend in north carolina, i agreed to go with him to the sunday public talk.
the public talk was about how the witnesses have the direction of angels while going in service.
the speaker told some real doozies and you could hear the "oohs and ahhs" from the audience.
Jehovah`s Witnesses follow a Bible Canon that was formulated and approved by apostate Catholic Christians of the 3rd Century and endorsed by apostate Christian Protestants of the 16/ 17 th Century
