  The findings and final recomendations of the ARC to the Government is not due to about the middle of 2017 or even later.

  It is then up to the Government whether they implement those findings on the institutions in question.

  The Government is not obligated to enforce all or any of the recomendations from the ARC , although this is very unlikely.

  It is not a slam dunk decision against the WT Organization ,cynical as I am ,I`ll wait watch and see.

  The WTB&TS have been pulling the wool over secular Govts. eyes for over a hundred years , their masters at it..

  Jehovahs witnesses /Governing Body members are masters at deflecting questions and not answering direccty questions put to them , rather they will try to put the questionare off gaurd and go off on another tangent .

  However if they are subjected to anybody as professional as Angus Stewart they will meet their match , I can only hope so.

  a well organized process.

  Wow thanks for posting that gerry.The fact that Jehovahs Witnesses are included in that short version , should speak volumes .

  Short version , as contrasted with the many institutions that were examined by the commission.

  I hold my breath ,that justice will prevail.

  1. man was created in 4026 bce.

  2. a global flood occurred in 2370 bce.

  So according to WT/JW chronology , the earth /universe could have been created millions of years ago However they say , ,Adam was created approximately 6000 years ago , the Noachian flood covering all the earth happened approximately 4000 years ago , and Jesus Christ appeared on earth about 2000 years ago .

  Does Geology , Archeology ,Anthropology ,or any other related science give any credence to such claims as possible facts ?

  Could all that was suposed to have happened in the Old Testament from Adam to Noah , occured within 2000 years before the flood ?

  Could all that was suposed to have occured in the Old Testament have happened in 2000 years from the flood of Noah to the time of Jesus appearance ?

  The population of the earth back then was nowhere near what it is today , most of the earths population today has occured during this past Century.

  or do these claims of Jehovahs Witnesses belong in the bin with other religious fundamentalists teachings with no basis in facts.?

  according to australian newspaper, the canberra times (for aussies, its a fairfax publication) trump is able to contact putin and the conversations cannot be tapped.

  (an interesting claim).. quote 1:.

  With up to 70% of young ones leaving what's the future of the jw's?

  they wlll always have new people coming in but the majority of the congro's are getting older particularly the inner city ones were it is expensive to live.

  they are struggling to get men to be elders and m.s's and this can only get worse as very few young ones stay around.

  My Story

  so, i joined just yesterday after coming across this forum looking at beth sarim, and i though that i would share my story with you.

  it will no doubt be very similar to a lot of others, but it's a way of getting to know me at least.. i was brought up as witness from the age of 4 years old, my dad picked up the 'truth' from one of his friends in the pub and it seemed to go from there, he would quickly get baptised and progress to becoming a ministerial servant and then an elder.

  from a young age i wanted to be like my dad and become a pioneer, a ministerial servant and then an elder... perhaps even becoming a co. the world, spiritually speaking, was my oyster.

  Good to hear the experiences of first time voters , no lightning bolts from heaven etc.LOL

  Its the same the world over I`m an Ozzie ,and the first time I voted it felt really good to have a say in who runs the country .

  And what,more than 20 million people have cast their vote already ?It will be interesting to know the final turnout of voters after this election .

  contradictory statements?

  i'm always interested to hear what a 'spokesman' for the organization has to say when newspapers report on child abuse issues.. for example the following statement was made in a recent guardian article.

  a spokesman for the jehovah’s witnesses said: “we are in no position to, and neither would we wish to, force any victim of abuse to confront their attacker.”.

  and this is straight from the shepherd the flock book -.

  Have you had a chance at all to see the video clips of the Australian Royal Commission into Insttutionalised Sexual Abuse ?

  The 1006 cases that were never reported to police or child protection authorities over 50 years ? conducted by JC of JW`s x 3 Elders = as much as 3018 Elders who are complicit in being assesorys after the fact of a crime committed against these children .

  Where it is brought out that victims were confronted with their abuser in Judicial Committee meetings.and were not believedin most cases.
