jw.net is a great site ,i know we all dont always see eye to eye on every topic and some topics can bring out emotions in us as we express our views .. and thats what makes it a great site.we can say what we feel without repercussions that are lasting.. take care everybody and pm me if you dont want to post here.. just saying..

My post includes all of the Gods that the human race have invented.
I was brought up to believe in God by parents who were not practicing christians themselves but believed their children were to go to sunday school , I ceased attending before I was a teenager & converted to the JW`s at 19.
I left them 33 years later for many reasons that led me to believe it was just another man made religion.
When I got a PC came on this site about ten years ago along with other sites like this which led me to do my own research I came to the only conclusion I could God does not exist.
He/she is a myth invented by humans for control over the masses.
No God has ever stepped forward and defended his or her self.as to their existence its always a human who jumps to there defence with no evidence for their claims.

I will only believe in demons if...
by deegee injws are known to have an obsession and preoccupation with demons.. this obsession and preoccupation is not without merit given that jesus, his disciples/apostles, and the general public of 1st century ce judea and galilee are reported as believing in the existence of demonic spirits and in the possibility of demon possession of an individual.. exorcism formed a large part of jesus' ministry on earth.
the gospels and the book of acts describe many exorcisms where jesus and his disciples release people from demonic possession.. ___ .
but how do demons get inside a person's brain or body?

I`m sorry if i have missed something David -Jay but did you cover what the Jews in the Old Testament view of demon possesion was ? Did they even believe such a thing in the Old testament ?
I guess it all comes down to do or did the jews believe in a personal Devil and Demons as his followers ,fallen Angels who rebelled against the Most High God.?

My mind boggles as to why anybody can still believe in the Bible with stories like these and many other mind boggling scriptures.
I became a JW with having a reverence for the Bible but not knowing much about it (my up bringing)
I thought I was learning about the Bible with JW`s ,how wrong was I.
I have learnt more about the Bible since leaving the JW`s and coming on this site than my 33 years as a JW.

a total end of the cold war with russia is a good thing for the world.
once you get the burden of war with each other off the table i think a lot of good can be accomplished in bumping heads in how solve common goals best..

Trump is a business man and he didnt get where he is by being stupid ,OK he may be a bit uncouth at times but I dont think he will be a pushover either.
And of course he has his advisers who are more experienced in politics .
I think his main worry will not be Russia but China.
How he deals with China an emerging superpower in the not so distant future is what interests me.

i keep hearing demands for equal rights but don't understand what rights they are missing exactly.. normally a march is to show the support (and potential votes) for a cause, but ... votes for what?

Why arent women in the west protesting against nations like Saudia Arabia,Somalia,Afghanistan,and many other parts of the world where females are victims of systematic brutal and unrelenting subjugation.?
Female genital mutilation is rife among Muslim nations and is practiced in wesern nations or the girls are sent back to their own land where the procedure is performed and they come back to the western nation they reside in.
Some girls subjected to this procedure are ony 5 months old.
Maybe these protesting women need to get their priorities right.

by Gorbatchov ingorby went to the kh for family reasons today.. and landed right away middle in a pseudo history watchtower article.
just that aspect of the jw belief he is so sensative about.. so 1918 and 1919 are changed with one mark of a pencil.
the argument of change was in the past the argument of the doctrine.

What other organization is there that is either embarrassed or ashamed of their past history that they feel they need to change it .
Surely that should tell us something about that organization.
Genuine legtitamit organizations are proud of their past history and want the world to know about it.

LTPF , I think the churches of christendom would more likely be of help to 75% if not more people that are in need , many of which would not even practice any brand of religion.
And JW`s only help those they consider worthy ,only those who are in good standing within the congregation and who have proved themselves by hours in service or by position in the organization .
And even then its minimal .
