You must have intestinal fortitude to be able to sit through a JW broadcast I dont think I could without puking.
The GB are no different from the religious leaders of the RC Church that they criticize so much in their publications., in fact they may even be worse.
i think the worst thing about jws is that they like to take away peoples realistic hopes for a happy life now and replace it with false hope for the future.
tell a jw you want to go college and get a good career and they'll tell you that college is a waste of time, that you'll end up in debt or that the economy is so bad there are no jobs.
tell a jw about how scientists have discovered a new technology that could improve millions of lives and they'll tell you that scientists and technology have "ruined the earth" and cannot be trusted.

And it never ceased to amaze me how many JW`s think they are just going to walk into someones mansion with a beautiful view with all the mod cons that are available now after Armageddon .
Where is their brain.
Do they think all the infrastructure / utillities water ,electricity ,sewerage ,etc,etc, that are available now will still be operating when the worldly people who run these services now are all killed off in the big A?
The GB know this but they dont make it obvious to the rank and file that the actual paradise conditions they portray wont happen overnight ,not even for a few hundred years.at least.
That would take away hope on another level.
Sure take away hope in this system , but keep the realism of the new System under wraps.

Why do apologists of God keep referring to thousands of years old scriptures as to what GOD is supposed to have said ? written down by imperfect uneducated by our standards today , humans more than 2000 years ago ?
How is it that we havent heard a word from him in 2000 years ? Apparently he was always communicating with his people in one way or another in the "Old Testament" the "Hebrew Scriptures "
However since the New testament "Christian Greek Scriptures " he refuses to talk with humans and neither does his son Jesus Christ ,and he is supposed to be ruling over the congregations for the past 100+ years ?
Which beggars the question if Jesus Christ has been ruling over the Christian Congregation since 1914 how is it they have got so many things wrong since 1914 ?
They are continually making adjustments with the excuse "the light gets brighter and brighter" what is wrong with Jesus that he cant say what he means in the first place ? does he suffer from dyslexia ? Is he now senile ?
According to JW`s Jesus has been enthroned since 1914 ,is he mute ? He hasnt said anything that gives anyone confidence that he is ruling over the world let alone the congregations.?
i've been as honest as i can on this forum throughout my time bouncing in and out..and been jumped on for saying anything positive about the "truth" or my experiences at the hall, but it's been a few years now since i have been attending meetings.
i go to the memorial for family reasons and went to the assembly today for the same reason...but one observation i have to make is most of us have all dealt with years of hearing how gawd awful "the world" is and how the only happiness is going to meetings and out in service.
now that is total bs.

The World has always been a "gawd awful" place ever since Cain killed Abel and God / jehovah if you like, has always been complicit in it ,for he has allowed it to deteriorate over the Centuries without intervening in this particular problem .
Jehovah allowed the first murder to take place without so much as an adequate penalty imposed , a life was lost and Cain was just banished yet protected from any retalliation for Abels death .Was that justice ?
On the plus side the Worldly people have made the Earth a beautiful place where humans have gone out of their way to help other humans whom they dont even know when they need help in any way they can financially and otherwise when disaster strikes or when famines occur
They also continually support fund drives with $$$$ for this that or the other need of humanity .
Jehovahs witnesses do not support any charity whatsoever of a worldly nature yet they will take any and everything the Government offers them .
Jehovahs Witnesses are parasites in human form.Take all that is offered and give nothing back.
I have some good memories in my 33 years as a jw ,and their were definetely some good genuine people in the Organisation that I have fond memories of.
However they ,like me were under an illusion that this religion was sanctioned by God and were blessed by him as his organisation.
The difference is I woke up and ,as far as I know most of my peers in the "truth" never have.
While we can look back on the good old times ,the fact is it was all based on a lie.,we were decieved and so were they our friends of old.

of sweet slumber would assure that even a. nightmare might offer an escape, escape from.
Perry and his Bible quotes sources have obviously never had nightmares where you actually wake in terror because of your dream.
Children often wake in terror because of the nightmares they experience , is that a loving provision from GOD ?
Whereas it might be rationalised that adults have life experiences that may contribute to their having nightmares no such thing can be said of young children being subject to that.
my spouse and i were talking about something that was written last year (thinking about spring time maybe) that was in a letter read to the elders only talking about warwick and it mentioned - or hinted at maybe - that the righteous resurrected of old would have rooms made there (ya know, like carrying on the whole beth sarim idea again).
at first i thought this info was in a watchtower, but couldn't find it and that's when honey thought it was in a letter instead and might not have been public info.
does this ring a bell for anyone?

The predominant economy in the natural world would not be parasitic and predatory. The world really would show the loving qualities of its maker without having to ignore the majority of the facts.

I also found it funny that the Creator of the universe ,the ultimate chemist according to the WT/GB would give the ten commandments to Moses on tablets of stone. ? that couldnt ,didnt last ?
Surely he could have used something more durable ,like an alloy that was far more advanced than the time Moses was living in ? Something that has only been invented in our day or not even been discovered yet..?

People who pray are very superstitious to think their prayers are going to be answered and when their not make all exuses and justifications for why it wasnt answered
When people pray and what they pray for does come about its an evidence that God hears their prayers and acts upon them ,and when prayers are not answered the excuses are numerous. Its Gods will ,he wanted another Angel ,Gods ways are higher than ours.etc.,etc.,
How presumptious of them to think that way
.A prayer is like flipping a coin their are only two options either it will be answered or it wont be answered It has nothing to do with a GOD who answers it or does not answers it.
