when i first became a witness, i always found the teaching about jesus being the arch angel michael hard to swallow.
i did however believe that jesus pre existed as a master worker alongside god (the first of his creation).. but now everything is brought into question having watched anthony buzzard explain why jesus could not have pre existed as it is impossible to pre exist yourself.
also the fact that it all sounds contradictory to suggest, he was already alive millions of years before he was transferred to mary's womb to be born as a human - the son of man?.
Christianity could never have spread so quickly in the first century given the impact he had made during his short life here on earth.
Couldnt the same thing be said about Mohammed ? the founder of Islam ? hasnt his sayings spread so quickly in his short life so that his followers, if not equal christianity in numbers may even surpass them ? They both are well over 1 Billion followers world wide .
And Mohammed came about 6 Centuries after Jesus Christ ,what does that tell you.

i woke up a few months ago, and i haven't told my parents yet.
Welcome smiruk , dont jump in straight away trying to show your parents that you think the JW`s are wrong,they have been indoctrinated for more years than you have lived probably ,so dont think they are going to change by what you say.
They would more likely dob you in to the Elders for looking at apostate websites.
Take things slowly and gain more knowledge about the early history , teachings they once held to be true but dont believe now ,
Their is so much information on this site about all subjects just use the search option at the right hand top of the page and type in a subject eg: the origin of the name jehovah.

as many former ex-witnesses, i "woke up" from believing that the jw org is the "truth".
this happened during this month thanks to information from jw-facts and youtube videos about ex-witnesses' experience in this org.
Welcome Issa , I see you have only joined a few hours ago and you are already interacting with other posters ,thats great.
You also say you have only woken up to the fact that the JW`s are not the truth , so dont rush things you have plenty of time to catch up on a lot of information on here and JW facts that you say you have looked at.
Take things slowly at first and gain a lot more background info on the religion that I bet you didnt know about.
They have a lot more failed prophecys apart from 1975 as an example

i just created the following infographic based on the recent yearbook stats.
The very fact that a great number of the children baptised in 2016 are just that, children ,the odds are that at least two thirds of them will walk away from the religion by the time they are in their mid twenties if not sooner.
So it will take about another ten years before the numbers drop off more dramatically than it has now.

JW interpretation of prophecy is that ALL of religion is to be attacked and banned first and the JW`s are to be the last to be persecuted and attacked by the 8th world power .And then the big "A".
At least thats the way I remember it before I left in 1993 .Have they changed that since then ?
Jehovahs Witnesses seem to confuse the different interpretations that are given to scriptures and prophecys they believe over the years and mix them up in their own heads and any and everything that happens is in fullfilment of Bible prophecys
i've noticed a few of my local grocery stores are stocking a. vogel homeopathy products.
a. vogel is a company ran primarily by jehovah's witnesses, the "brains" behind the operation, alfred vogel, has since died but he claimed to be one of the anointed.
the bolle family (co-founders of the company) is a well-known, (now very wealthy) family in the netherlands and there have been significant "contributions" in the past from the company to the watchtower organization.. alfred vogel was a well-known conman, he claimed blood transfusions would change someone's personality, he claimed to have studied native american herbal healing methods... from a native american tourist photo-op actor.
I've noticed a few of my local grocery stores are stocking A. Vogel homeopathy products.
I would suggest any concerns you have about Vogel Homeopathy Products you compose a letter to the head Office of the grocery stores that stock these products.
Just be wary of the wording you use so as not to be liable in any way.
What part of the world are you in Anony Mous ,if I see it in Australia I will be writing to the relevant grocery stores myself.

no doubt we have all heard the statement from witnesses and christians in general that those who leave the faith only do so because they want to sin, or they feel guilty or whatever.... the reality is, i reckon we are all more "moral" now that we have left!.
many of us contribute to humanitarian efforts, community groups, welfare groups, etc.. many of us actually do something tangible to assist people.. we don't look with critical eyes on them or their lives.. and most importantly, we do not joyfully await the mass genocide of men, women, children and babies by a petty, jealous, and tyrannical god!.

A Catholic who gives practical help in a church sonsored program looking after victims of family violence ,a christian who is involved in helping aged people via meals on wheels regardless of their beliefs ,the salvation army who help and feed clothe the homeless and give them shelter , are all evidences of a Christian organization giving practical need to people who need it right now.
And that is just the tip of the iceberg that Christendoms religions provide in a practical/physical sense.
What do Jehovahs witnesses do .?

supreme court decides against jw.. in the present case, the dilemma to which the hospital refers is not at all.
If I was a doctor and recommeded a patient have a certain treatment and they refused on religious grounds I would then not be their doctor but advise them to find another doctor who will honour their beliefs.
For doctors to be restricted this way by patients and then when things go wrong the patient sues the doctor ,how pathetic is that .?
Doctors nowadays need to protect themselves from patients that are too eager to sue them for unforseen occurences that happen.
And for Jehovahs Witnesses to do that just shows where their priorities lie. $$$$$$$
