  When was the book of Lamentations written?

  so i was researching about 587 and 607 and couldn't help but notice that the wbts states that the writing of the book of lamentations was written by jeremiah near jerusalem and was completed in 607 bc.

  chapters 2 and 4 of this book describe jehovah's anger towards jerusalem and the terrible effects of jerusalem's siege taking place in chapter 4. can someone clear this up?

  road to nowhere ,I think your being a little bit paranoid but thats understandable seeing you are new here.

  Most of us here have been paranoid ,suspicious ,and shit scared of even being on this site lest we are exposed and dragged up before a JC.when we first started to post here .

  Believe me its all in our heads due to the indoctrination over the years we have been put through.

  It actually took me a few years before I was absolutely comfortable in posting here and on other sites.

  The JW organisation is not MI6 or the KGB or ASIO , so dont worry they neither have the resources or the willpower to monitor everybody who are leaving the organisation nowadays .

  The only way they have to curb the exodus is at congregation meetings and assemblys or Conventions warning of Apostacy .thats all.

  And remember ex JW`s on here are from all over the world do you honestly think they have the capacity or willpower to monitor all of us including the multitude of other ex JW sites ?.......No way.

  Doubling up on Circuit Overseers for Apostahunts?

  in my area i know of four congregations dissolved in one circuit, so that leaves eight weeks a year empty for that circuit overseer's calendar.

  dissolving congregations is happening more than in my area, so i believe we can assume other c.o.s have open time.

  it appears that c.o.s are visiting with a companion c.o.

  Any Jehovahs Witness worth his salt knows you cant ask questions about the organisation ,Elders,the GB ,doctrines,or anything else related to the JW organization including JW.Org

  To do so will incur the wrath of the powers that be in the organisation.

  And you will be history.

  i hate to say this, but given my own experience as a jw for almost 3 decades, i am beginning to believe the average jw will continue to look to and be guided by the gb regardless of whether they are right or wrong.. despite all the scandals and negative media attention the watchtower organisation is receiving, life seems to go on as normal in jw land.

  it's truly bizarre!!.

  clearly, the gbs tactic of mostly hiding away from the media is clearly working for them.

  Juarez MX Assembly Kingdom Hall to be sold.

  there are several confirmed announcements in some congregations around the city regarding the sale of the assembly kingdom hall.

  one of the reasons why it will be sold is that expenses are not covered by donations.

  the hall was dedicated in 2009. actually, in some congregations the elders have not given the announcement for the publisher's reaction... .

  With their billion dollars $$$$$ in real estate sales the WT couldnt tide them over for a bit ?

  Whats the bet it will be sold to one of christendoms churches if they are the only ones interested in buying.

  Ridiculous (degrading) comment on society's video

  on video "benefits of divine education" william samuelsson makes totally appalling comment.. starting from 3:05 he refers to "an effort" that was made in past to see how society's curriculum corresponds with normal - worldly - universities.. then he claims that following question was asked (to university representative) "how we in five months can teach the same that for them takes two years"?.

  according to w samuelsson the representative of a university replied something like this: "your students are motivated, they have come to learn where as our students have been send to university by their parents and might have something else than learning in their mind".

  this is to crystallize what he said.

  The university representative`s statement was more than likely taken out of context and mis-quoted as is WT`s normal practice .

  That is if the conversation really ever took place in the first place

  Why the vitriolic hate?

  i am sure we have all thought of this before, but it struck me again today:.

  why does the society promote such vitriolic hate toward, and about those who have left "the truth" ?.

  surely it is obvious that such critical attitudes towards ones like us who have left, only serves to proove that they do not have "the truth"?.

  Will religion ever truly be accountable for the abuse it has inflicted on children ? Sexuall or otherwise ?

  the sad truth in todays society is that religion gets an out of jail card on so many levels and i cant think of how this situation is ever going to change in the foreseeable future.. my main fear is that the few investigations going on is just to appease those clamouring for justice .. and the forces in control are just seen to be doing the right thing whereas nothing concrete except for some small token judgements will ever be executed.. call me a cynic but i doubt the arc will bring about much change at the end of the day.. remember they dont have much authority to do anything except advise..
