Female Perspective about WTS, marital relationship & control

despite my user name, am female.

i was not born-in, began studying when i was around 20, am 50 damn years old now and have spent almost the last 30 years in that stupid religion.

but here are some observations, make of them what you will.

That was a great post muddy somehow i missed it 3 years ago.My wife and I were converts in our late teens and spent the next 33 years under the control of the cult.

However we have now both been out since 1993 now 24 years ago.

And believe me things do get easier as time passes.

Dont fret too much about you and your daughters relationship these issues occur religion or no religion,they have minds of their own and need to live the life they choose and bear the consequences of wrong decisions or benefit from the right decisions they make .

Thats what makes us human and Adults.

Cart witnessing in the quietest in my suburb.

i walked to the station yesterday to meet a friend, and on the way, in what must be the quietest street in the entire suburb, were two j.witnesses and their little cart, all set with a literature display.

i wondered what point there may have been to choose that location.

i felt like grabbing one of their bibles and reading matthew 5:15 to them:.

They might as well be doing that for all that the carts are acheiving.

How do you reconcile these two statements

Simple , Jehovahs witnesses speak out of both sides of their mouth.

That is why they can believe in two opposing beliefs at the same time and see no problem with it.

Cognitive Disonance ?

Other reasons:

Brainwashed

Gullible

Stupidity

Gullible

Naive

Ignorant

Or all of the above in different ingredients / mixes.

Will , or could Japan take action on their own , in a millitary sense ? After all it is their territorial space that was violated.Are they handicapped by America ?

What country wants foreign powers missiles flying through their air space.?

The big question is what will China do with NK,? if anything.And if they dont what are the consequences ?

The potential is NK provoking the USA And China into a confrontation,and I dont think either side wants that to happen.

All it needs is some imperfect human to make a miscalculation and all hell could break loose .

Interesting times ahead I see.

a jehovah's witness is a person whose faith is centered in men (gb) not god or the bible and who must never voice any opinion on any doctrine contrary to that of the gb or risk discipline and possible disfellowship.. well....its a start.. vander .

JW`s refuse to donate blood even for their own use believing it must be poured out on the ground and not used for any purpose and yet the GB allows JW`s to use blood fractions that are processed from stored donated blood in a laboratory from people who are not JW`s but are people of Satans system of things.Worldly people.

in the famous aesop fable, we read about a fox who unsuccessfully tried to get some grapes, but at last had to give it up, and walked away with his nose in the air, saying: “i am sure they are sour.”.

someone made a second part to this story.

fox did some rehearsal in the night and came on to the scene next day, and jumped with difference and got the grapes from the vine tree, and he began to eat to his full capacity.

Doesnt the bible state that the wages of sin is death ?

And that sin was because the first humans disobeyed God ?

So sin came into the world because the first humans disobeyed God.

And death therefore free`s humans from the sin Adam and Eve committed.The Adamic death.

So my question is why were people who were resurrected from death who had already payed the penalty of the sin of Adam by dying ,why did they ever have to die again ?

Their are a couple of accounts where people were resurrected in the Bible.

They had paid the price for sin of the Adamic death ,why did they die a second death ? and isnt that the one where there is no resurection from ?

such as lazarus ?

Did lazurus and others commit other sins that God is not telling us about that is going to result in our deaths ?

Where does that leave the rest of humanity ?

Last Week's Watchtower had something that made people start questioning things?

i just got a call from a friend who said that something in last weeks watchtower caused a number of people in various congregations to start questioning things, and several long time elders left.

i am totally out of the loop but i do read things here and i heard of no such thing.. something to the effect that jw's and governing boobies are not inspired or something along those lines?.

I remember an Elder believing it was a great thing that Jehovah was going to give Job twice as many children in the resurrection .And how happy he would be.

A retraction and apology - I posted incorrect information.

it was recently brought to my attention by the person who was with me on the carts at the time, that a comment i made six months ago about the cart work on this forum was incorrect.

i apologise and in the interests of honesty and accuracy i feel it is only right to issue a public retraction.

i have quoted the post in question below as i am not sure how to correct or delete the original.
