  I enjoyed the DC and that's probably about it. When I got older, it was almost fun. My dad and I would skip the Saturday session and do touristy things, while we left my mom in the hot civic center listening to the brothers drone on and on (hey, it was her choice). Needless to say, my dad and I have since left "the truth" and my mom is still going strong.

  i have decided to join this forum after quite a long time lurking here (a number of years actually).. i have been out of the truth for a while and recently started to attend some meetings.

  but i now think a bit more freely and wonder whether i am doing the right thing.

  a cousin of mine regularly posts on here, didgeridoo in fact i have seen him today, speaking to him has made me decide to finally post on here, although i have my reservations whether i am doing the right thing.

  i feel like running for a long long time or just losing it and checking myself into a hospital.

  first... i am in no immediate danger of starving damn groceries are getting expensive .

  as an example... i love breyer's all natural ice cream... .

  first...the story of the incredible shrinking ice cream box.... for years and year the box was one half gallon (us)...2 full quarts...then somewhere a couple years back, it shrunk to 1.75 quarts...but in the same size box..... today, i was at the grocery, and seen the stuff was on sale..... hmmmmm...something fishy.... yep... it is now 1.5 quarts.... and i carefully compared the 1.75 box in my freezer with my new 1.5 box.

  On my last shopping trip, I decided to try to avoid HFCS altogether, so I read the labels on everything. Needless to say, it took forever. I had to buy almost all organic! That stuff makes my wallet cry.

  i got to see first hand the good, the bad, and the ugly of what transpires at a convention.

  the worst fears of what i was warned about never materialized.

  lol I used to do that on purpose. I would talk loudly with my friends when I saw a "Keep Quiet" sign or I would loiter when I saw a "Keep Moving" sign. I was such a rebel.

  Thanks! The name was inspired by my daughter. She took ballet lessons when she was 4. I have done belly dancing though. It's so much fun and beautiful too! You should definitely do it.

  Uncaring Attitude of the Society

  i just read the account of a an elderly lady who passed out in a distict convention in canada today (06/20/08).

  it seems that as some of the attendees were trying to help by doing cpr, the "brother" on the platform a few feet away speaking did not even pause.

  when his talk ended a few minutes later and the lady was still being tended too, the platform folks just announced the next speaker as if nothing was happening.

  An elderly sister died during our CA several years ago near the end of the lunch break. Paramedics came in, carted her away...and then it was business as usual.
